This is the 2nd time these teams have ever played each other. The last time was in 2005, & LCA was on the short side of a mis-match.

 

This year LCA has 4 legitimate D1 prospects, a MUCH stronger line & a defense that is also vastly improved.

 

I look for Lexington Christian Academy to pull the upset. If they are ever going to do it, this is the year for it.

I voted for Lexington Catholic but would not be suprised if LCA won the game. They seem to have a very good football team this season and look to be headed for a run at the Class A title.

Bluto, I really think LCA can really win this game. Your team has the man power, coaching staff and the fight to go out and win this game. I would love to see this one. Good luck and make all of us 1A schools proud. And let all of the 3,4,5 and 6A schools know we can play with the big boys.

The game will be LIVE on WazooSports.com. However, the Breathitt Co. was supposed to be live this past week, but was not LIVE due to technical difficulties. The game replays on WazooSports.com are available early the following week.

LCA is the best team in 1A this year in my opinion. Their offense is something special this year. And defense is very fast as well I assume. This will be the first time LCA has been tested against another Kentucky team. This one not bieng on the turf and at LCA will help as well.

It is obvious that Lexington Christian should make a big run towards the Class 1A state championship this season. They have great skilled personnel with lots of veteran players. Playing up in class against a program like Lexington Catholic will do nothing but help their chances in preparing for a state championship.

 

From my experience, really good Class 1A football teams who play larger class schools can match their opponents in the skilled positions, but lack the strength and numbers in the trenches to compete.

 

I think the Lexington Catholic versus Lexington Christian is a great match up this season and I am wondering how some of the BGPrep posters out there who are more familiar with these teams feel about how they match up in the trenches on both sides of the ball?????
