Thank you mcpapa. I am a bit suprised I won it this year, but had a lot of fun doing it.

Yes, two kids from Franklin County High were selected last year, but were unable to play. Their last day of school was the 12th of June due to all of the snow that winter.

Good to see that Quan Weaver makes the list. Hope the kids from Frankfort get to play with the weather. I know last year the two players from Frankfort selected did not get to play because they were in the middle of finals week.

Coach Sheridan actually played for Chris Tracy when Tracy was an asst. at FC so I am pretty sure Sheridan will stay on the staff.

Great hire for Franklin County. Tracy knows what Franklin County football means and I hope he can turn it all around as he has experienced, hard-working, talented kids coming back.

Glad Coach Turner was able to land another job. I am sure he will do great things at Station. Coach Lucas has built this program up so it is up to Turner to keep it heading in the right direction.

One, that is just one argument. Two, Meeks had another All-SEC performer on his team along with future NBA talent with Patrick Patterson. Downey has no one else. Dominque Archie is hurt so its all on Downey. Meeks had help and Downey makes more of a difference than Meeks did last year. UK fans really do not want to give him credit for what he is doing. He is the front runner for SEC POY plus SEC POY is based on conference statistics and he is averaging over 30 points a game.

To go along with his 30 points, he drew numerous double teams from UK and that forced open shots for his teammates and opened up offensive rebounding opportunities. Downey did much more than just score 30 points against UK. He also served as a one man press break. No need to talk about his size, he is a heckuva college basketball player. Give credit when credit is due.

South Carolina wins another close one due to Downey's 33 points and a huge shot at the end. Downey is the SEC POY, he makes more of a difference than any other player does for their team.

Like Pitino said " You don't shoot 53% and play as hard as my kids did" its unreal of how bad the officiating was. Mike Kitts is a terrible official.

Franklin County comes into the game after a close one against Woodford and it is Homecoming night at FC. Will any of these factors matter? Who wins and why? I am taking my Flyers by 10+ with Vance Hall coming out with a purpose. He was held in check the last time these two played and he will not let that happen again. Go Flyers!!:dancingpa

The Lady Flyers are the new dominant team in the district. They have not lost a district game in over two years I believe. Thacker has these girls playing some great basketball. I think a run at the 11th Region title is looming.

And you know Billy Hicks and Scott County will have some tough defenses to throw at the Flyers. This upcoming week is a big one for the Flyers with their newly added rival in Scott County and cross-town rival in Western Hills(Homecoming). I think we will learn a lot about Scott Chalk's team this week with an emotion packed week.

I agree, but Cotton would be the best hire if they do not stay within the program. I also agree that Sheridan deserves the job after all the work he has put in with the kids. Ran the weightroom by himself last offseason and is doing it again this offseason.

Curtis Cotton would be a great hire at FC if he applied. He is a great guy who cares about the kids, knows the game and would be a good fit at FC. He knows the system well and if he can turn the offense around at FC with Coach Sheridan coaching the defense you could see a much improved Franklin County team. They return the majority of their team, which gained much needed Varsity experience.
