  1. Coach Donnelly's Flyers win the region for the first time in almost 20 years I believe. Congratulations and know that the whole city of Frankfort is behind you guys. With McKee and Jones back anything can happen. I love watching Burton play. In my mind he is one of the top players in the state of Kentucky. Keep it rolling FC....:dancingpa
  2. In Boys 13th Region Action, Franklin County will play Woodford County Thursday night for the region championship. This is a rematch of the district championship, which was one of the best games I have ever watched with Franklin County winning 2-1 by the golden goal.
  3. I would add Franklin County to the mix with Thompson on the mound and a bunch of returners.
  4. My prayers go out to the WHHS basketball family, Coach Welch and his family.
  5. I have not heard this and would be very suprised if this holds true. This is Franklin County's senior night. The seniors have two games left in their high school careers and especially with Gardner and Goins, I would hate to see it cut short since they did not make the playoffs. I know Franklin County's boosters have senior night all plannned out. I really hope this is not true. If anyone hear's anything please let me know.
  6. Bourbon 28-7. Barnes speed will be too much to go along with that big Colonel line.
  7. I am taking the Flyers in this one by a touchdown. Gardner will not let his last two games go without putting up a valiant effort. Stepp is not a motivator by any means, but Gardner does it for this team.
  8. 7- Henry Clay 5- Bourbon County 3- Garrard County 2- Western Hills 1- Scott County TB-Henry Clay
  9. He is the principal at Pendleton County High School.
  10. Yes, they do have plenty of young talent with good speed such as Timmons, Lackey, Jones and others. The talent being too young can no longer be an excuse though as these kids have played 8 games of Varsity football. They have a small senior class with only two of the kids playing all 4 years. The lost Damian Hicks, their best player, at the beginning of the season and Michael Chenault is no longer with the team. The kids are just not confident and it reflects back on the head coach. He shows no emotion what so ever and it is beginning to reflect on the kids. He is the most predictable offensive coordinator I have ever seen. Youth can no longer be an excuse. No playoffs equals a very, very disappointing season.
  11. Couldn't be happier for Henry D-Coordinator Dennis Ledford. This one just shows he is one of the best defense coaches in Central Kentucky.
  12. Franklin County dominated til the 4th. Offensive playcalling and poor football decisions led to this loss. FC ran the ball all night against PC and was very productive until the 2nd half. Stepp for some reason began running consecutive pass plays on various occasions. FC had all, but sealed the win until PC punted to the Flyers and the freshman Timmons did not field the punt and watched it hit his leg. The next play PC scored the go ahead TD. Stepp sent his players straight to the lockeroom again while walking arm in arm with his wife. He refused to talk to reporters as well. People in Frankfort are already calling for a change as a 1-7 season and no playoffs is not typical. Jeremy Gardner is a warrior and I have nothing, but for respect. He is what FC football is all about. Stepp does not look like he wants to be there and its beginning to rub off on this young team.
  13. 7- Garrard County 5- Marion County 3- George Rogers Clark 2- Henry County 1- Lafayette TB- Henry County
  14. Teegarden has this Pendleton County squad playing above expectations.
  15. This is a huge district game for both teams as it is their biggest game of the year. Whoever loses this game will have their season end in two weeks. Its as simple as the winner heads to the playoffs. I am taking the Flyers in this one as they seem to play better at home with a win against Woodford County and a tough showing against Lafayette. Coach Sheridan will have the D ready thats for sure.
  16. Franklin County Lou. Fairdale Allen County-Scottsville Henderson County Owensboro Catholic Union County
  17. Barnes has always had the talent, it just was a matter of putting him in a system that he could flourish in with the proper talent. He is now showing Bourbon County fans what they wanted. A win against Harrison and they host a playoff game. Coach P is doing a great job with the Colonels. I hope the Flyers can beat Pendleton this week.
  18. I don't understand running the ball 2 or 3 times with under 1 minute 30 seconds left. I though Franklin County could pull this off. This week against Pendleton is the biggest game of the season with playoff hopes on the line. Its a do or die week for the Flyers.
  19. They have only played one district opponent Top 10 Ranked Holmes. District games are what matters in terms of getting into the playoffs. Last year Pendleton County did not win a game in the district and still got into the playoffs because this district only had 4 teams. With the additon of Holmes, 4 teams out of 5 will make it. That is why many schools beef up their schedule like Lou.Central to prepare them for district play. Central is also 1-5 and will win their district.
  20. Allen Central Trimble County Harrison County John Hardin Daviess County Lou. Fern Creek
  21. Franklin County continues to improve week by week. This is the biggest game on the Flyers schedule so far as it is a huge district game. With Holmes already being guaranteed a playoff berth their is 3 spots for Harrison County, Bourbon County, Franklin County and Pendleton County to fight for. If Franklin County wins this one they put themselves in the playoffs and put themselves in a place to host a first round game. I look for Franklin County to win 19-14. Go Flyers!!
  22. 7- Boyle County 5- Henry Clay 3- Lafayette 2- Scott County 1- Anderson County TB- Boyle County
