Caleb visited Centre College in Danville today. He was with the football coaches all day and watched the team workout. Is there any chance he comes to Centre? This would be a great pickup for ol' Andy Frye.

Vance Hall from Franklin County has to be mentioned. He can do it all score, pass, rebound and play defense. Hall is the Flyers team.

Ledford is the right man for the job. He was the right man for the job at Franklin County, but politics played a role in him leaving. Ledford cares about the kids, loves the game, knows the game and helps the kids out with their futures eg.. DeRon Hicks, Oakley Watkins, Nick Farler and Nathan Newland. I hope and pray Ledford gets this opportunity, he deserves it :ylsuper:

Where are all the doubters who said Franklin County could not compete. Glad to see Jennels playing well and Hall proving that he is one of the top players in the state. Keep it up Flyers.

I think the Flyers pull the upset in this one. Vance is going to be ready and so will Jennels. Brandon has been playing well as of late. The Flyers have the Rockets number here as of late winning the past two seasons. This is always a great game to watch. Anxious to see Hicks and Hall matchup. Go Flyers!!

I would have to do some research for you. I have no idea of the top of my head. I know they struggled for a few years after '80 because of the school splitting with Western Hills.

FCHS went 12-1 in the 1979-80 football season going all the way to the State Semi-finals. They had one heckuva a coaching staff with Gary Dearborn(the head coach), Sammy Harp and Ray Graham. Franklin County has a winning tradition and always has the athletes. This really is a good job especially with 8 starters returning on both sides of the ball.

That is totally wrong. What made most angry was the way he ran his football program and that he was not doing it for the kids.

Hall also got involved on the tennis circuit this summer and was pretty good I must say. Hall is a great athlete.

That is a good question. I know that football activities for the week have been cancelled, but the kids need to be in the weightroom. Enormous strides are made in the weightroom so hopefully while the AD and admistration look/interview for a new Head Coach, the Senior leaders of next years team will get the younger ones in the weightroom. Morale at Franklin County is as high as it has been in a while, the kids have a sense of relief now that Stepp is gone.

Hall lost 7 seniors off a Top 10 team. Riddle lost seniors off a mediocre team so your argument there is very invalid. To say JT is the best athlete to come out of Frankfort is absurd, like MooreMiller31 said Roni Robinson would be. You also are forgetting athletes such as Steve Campassi. Hall is the best player in the 41st hands down, no knock on JT.

Stepp just was not the right guy for this job. He was just a bad example for the kids and did not have the best interest for the kids. He did not send out any film for any of the players, which includes the heart and soul of the team in Jeremy Gardner. He did not emphasize academics as is shown in he not reporting the kids GPA to the KHSAA so that they could get academic awards. He had little respect for his staff as shows because none of the staff was coming back next year if he was coming back. He did not have much interaction with the boosters. He just took the fun out of it for the kids and he taught them to use excuses, which should never happen. I hope we get a good one, Ledford and Walker were great for the program so hopefully we can pick their momentum back up. Nick Sheridan, maybe? I wonder if Tracy or Graham will interview again. Aaron Stepp, head football coach at Franklin County High, resigned as coach today to the players. After a 1-9 season full of controversy and poor decisions, this is the best thing for the program. I hope ol' FCHS can hire a good one that will do it for the best interest of the program. The Flyers have a nice nucleus of players coming back next year.

You were very much misinformed. Coach K made the substitutions on the offensive line and no where else. The Highlands kids had no players at wideout and the three recievers that really stood out in that game were Hicks from Franklin County, Adams from Middlesboro and Saifullah from Bryan Station. It is very unfair to say Coach K made substitution calls when he did no such thing. He was with the O-Line 100% of the time. Good luck this year Coach Kozerski.

The thing about Vance Hall is he is an even better kid on and off the court; my two sons look up to Vance. Great kid, great family just an all-around good kid. Keep it up Vance.

Congrats to the Flyers. They have a tough one tonight, but they will be up for the test.

Ryan Timmons played his best game of the season. He handled the pressure and played very impressive defense. Timmons is going to be a good one.

That he was, but the impressive thing about Vance is the fact that he was not satisfied with the 38 because of a pair of free throws he missed down the stretch. Vance is asserting himself as one of the top players in the state of Kentucky. As Vance Hall goes, the Flyers go.

Vance Hall is absolutely the heart and soul of this team. He wasn't satisfied with 38 tonight, he told me that he should have hit the free throws down the stretch. This a big win for the Flyers and my heart goes out to the young statistician for Scott, who was taken to the hospital.
