Instead of beating a dead horse about Aaron Stepp resigning I thought I woul dstart a new thread for the discussion to happen about the next head coach. :deadhorse:

I'll just say I hope they stay within. Though there is/will be at least 2 other good possibilities.

My vote goes to jvdfc.

 Then you would lose.

Any Ray Graham rumors yet?

Seriously, has anyone heard who has applied?

I would like to hear a list of names too. I would be curious to know how many they will interview. Last year they only interviewed a handful.

One name that I am hearing that has applied is Joey Thacker. He has been a head football coach and has coached on the football staff at Franklin County for about 6 seasons. He also is someone who would run the "system".

That would be a great hire IMO. :thumb:

Curtis Cotton is another system guy that needs to be looked at.

Who is he and where is he from? :idunno:

who cares about the "system". I would want someone who is defensive minded. Thats just me of course.

How many state championship in KY has "the system" won?

Coach Cotton is the Offensive Coordinator at LCA. He also was an offensive and defensive coordinator during his time at Henry Clay. He has coached at Georgetown College as well. I think he has somewhere around 17 years experience and several of those have been as an OC running the Tony Franklin System. He has multiple playoff wins and has been to the state finals 3 times as an assistant and led LCA to score 55 points in this years 1a state championship win. He would be an excellent choice and should at least deserve an interview.

I believe the first one was this year's LCA team with the 1a Championship.
