  1. Found his comments hilarious, it is more like a comedian then a leader of a nation, and like a comedian his comments not taken serious, and that is not good for a leader of a nation.
  2. Hopefully I will enjoy the game more then you. For Pineville/Williamsburg Williamsburg 34 Pineville 8
  3. My favorite game on the schedule is here. I enjoy the LC/Harlan game more then any other, because these two teams are always big, strong, and physical. For LC to win the game the line will have to do the job. Harlan has a great front, and LC will have to run the football to be succesful. I would love to see LC be able to put long drives together to keep that much improved Harlan offense off the field. Lynn Camp will need a good job at defending the pass, and keeping the qb in the pocket, teams that have beaten LC the qb has had a big game running. Bottom line in this game, the team that wins in the trenches walks out of this one in great shape for at least one home playoff game. Round 2 could be the first of Nov.
  4. I'm here, just sitting back reading more then posting lately.
  5. Lynn Camp in 98 was coming off back to back regional runner-up teams, and featured one of the top players in the state, during that time Corbin had not made it past the second round since they lost to Fort Knox in the 1990's state title game, and yes that had a lot to do with the region they were playing in at the time. Losing to LC during those years would have not been an embarassment to anyone.
  6. Starters were pulled much later then that, with about 4 or 5 minutes to go in the game. It was the sametime I left, and I remember the Whitley radio guys did the game that year, and I listen to them, and they remarked about that. LC did beat them in a scrimmage, but it was more then a scrimmage loss for the Hounds it meant more to them, then the win meant for Lynn Camp. They brought Lynn Camp into the Pigskin the next year, and had shirts printed up with score of the Pigskin game after it. 98, was a good year for us, and it was one of our better teams. But we started the that year in typical Lynn Camp fashion with some early season losses, when the weather cools down we seem to play better. Corbin doesn't mind as much losing to the Danville's Bell's and Rock's. The local teams beating them, stings to no end for Corbin fans. The talent level at the schools has gotten better and has made our area of football much better.
  7. Starting the third. The score was 40 to 14 going into the 4th, with Pineville moving the ball. Don't let the score fool people, Pineville is a much much better football team. They have a very talented qb. First time in years I have notice movement in the Pineville program in the right direction.
  8. Joe Roskopf (5'10 185 JR) of Lynn Camp high school, had 38 carries for 424 yards and 5 tds in Lynn Camp's 52 to 14 win over Pineville.
  9. Single ling a kid out is wrong in a public forum, because this is just like a media outlet, like a newspaper or radio. How many coaches speak to the paper and single out a kid by name? as doing this wrong or that wrong or calling them soft or looking for a reason to not play? Usually they single out plays made, but names are not mentioned. If you said LC was soft, that's fine, but you DON"T single kids out by name. I think everyone who has read on here knows why your not critical of Lynn Camp this year. They have had a down season up to this point, and no one is talking about them like last year, also when Corbin was having a down year, and are up to this point in the season as well. You were never critical of Lynn Camp last season, you were just plan old jealous of Lynn Camp last season. But I could care less about last season now its done and over. Lynn Camp needs to win this game Friday if they want to make the playoffs. For the first time in years, Pineville will come into this game thinking they can win, and LC will need to match their intensity early. It could very well be a tough game, imo Lynn Camp will need to step it up and fight to win this game.
  10. Corbin football is full pride and tradition. They take it very serious, and they take it serious as to being the top dog in the area, which as another poster said area teams have caught with the hounds on talent, and other teams having as much if not more success in recent years then Corbin, has upset the faithful which it should not. A lot of people believe Corbin has it made, playing in the district that they do, and they do, but I think playing in that district, and playing in the west side of 2a has hurt Corbin in recent years. I think they lost some of the fire they had in big games that has made Corbin a great program. It is hard to get up for teams a long way from home, when you have no history with them. I think you will see a change in the Corbin program when they play teams in the eastern side of the state. The fire the Hounds have been lacking when they play Middlesboro, grant it they play the boro, but put a district title on the line in that game, and it will be huge.
  11. Anyway you try to spin it is wrong. To single out a kid at ANY school, and call him soft, or say he is looking for a reason to sit out is wrong to do especially in public forum, where family members could be on here reading is wrong. To be honest with you it doesn't even have to do to the fact he plays at Lynn Camp. Because I personally don't even know him. You want to get on and make threats about being critical of LC. I don't really care, because you creditability of knowing what your talking about has been gone for a long time now. It has nothing to due with the fact your from Corbin, but I'm sure Corbin wouldn't be associated with the garbage you have put in this thread.
  12. Anyway you try to spin it, YOU single out a young man, very uncalled for. Hound82 nothing could defend that. Pretty weak thing to do especially on a public board. And especially someone in your position, you just put the entire Corbin program in a bad light. How would you feel if someone talked that way about one of your kids?
  13. Brett should be back this week, Michael Hall is still unknown at this point, as is Ian.
  14. Jonathan has been the starting center the last couple of season. Good big strong player.
  15. Way to go, nothing like degrading a high school kid.
  16. Bret Barrett, Michael Hall, and Ian McClain, and their is one or two more I can't think of off the top of my head. Barrett and Hall are both two way starters, so that is like losing 4 starters right there.
  17. With Cumberland already 0 and 1 in district play this is a big game for Cumberland. If they drop this game, they are pretty much out contention for district title, and in trouble for a home playoff game. It also wouldn't surprise me that this is the first of two meetings between these two schools. Cumberland played Somerset tough last year, if they do a good containing Deaton and Cole, they have a shot. Cumberland usually has big Oline and will need to run behind them. Washington will need to have a big night for the Skins to make the long trip back home with a win. Somerset is a good home team, and always tough to beat at the Briar Patch. I think Somerset wins this one, but I think it will be a little closer. Somerset 36 Cumberland 22
  18. Harlan looks to be playing the best football in the district right now. Cumberland will get their first test. Cumberland has surprised Harlan in recent years, and with the game at Cumberland it should be a great game. I look for Harlan to pull away late, and their defense to step up and slow down the Skins. Harlan 20 Cumberland 6
  19. Danville 42 Somerset 16
  20. Corbin would better off scheduling teams that are closer for the Pigskin. Lynn Camp had the best local bowl game this year, with 3 local teams, and two close game, and a big crowd. One of the best Pigskin's as far atmosphere was when Lynn Camp and Corbin played and Whitley played in the first game. Corbin could bring in the likes of Bell, Middlesboro, South, Whitley or Rock teams pretty close that travel well. Southwestern would also be another good choice for the Pigskin. Imo a good bowl matchups would Corbin and Whitley and Southwestern and Bell Co.
  21. Lynn Camp plays PCC and hopefully they beat us by 6 or 7 tds so the Corbin folks stay happy.
  22. I think it will be somewhat better game, then it has been lately. McCreary has good size, and they are improved, but Williamsburg should still have their way with the Raiders. WHS 36 MC 6
  23. The same amount as Cumberland has. Lynn Camp has won 11 playoffs games the last ten years, has Cumberland won 1?
  24. Based on what? Corbin has played in the state finals and Lynn Camp has played in the state semi-finals. Williamsburg has only made the playoffs two or three times since the turn of 2000, and only one time made it out of the first round.
