Week 3, both teams are 1-1. In the past its been all Williamsburg, I think this will be a better game than in years past, the question is can the Raiders put the ball in the end zone enough to beat the Jackets????

The Raiders defense has been strong in both of their games this year, but they have not faced a team that will throw it as much as Williamsburg

Can the Raiders get ready this week to defend the passing game??

Whoever gets the breaks is the team that will win, its going to be another good game and to close to call at this time is my prediction.

The Raiders could make alot of people happy if they could pull out an upset??

I think it will be somewhat better game, then it has been lately. McCreary has good size, and they are improved, but Williamsburg should still have their way with the Raiders.

I am going to predict it to be much closer. The Raiders defense has been great and they held a bad team (no offense, Powell) to only 29 yards and did extremely well against the Indians of Oneida. They held them without a first down for their first two possesions and took three first downs in their first two. McCreary has two good defensive players and "intercepters" in Anthony Musgrove and All-Star Aaron Watts. Watts was shaken up a little in the Oneida game but returned and will be at 100% against Williamsburg. I think this will be a lot closer than anyone expects, like the Oneida game. I wouldn't be suprised if McCreary pulled out an upset.

If McCreary's offense works well without many turnovers..

McCreary: 28

Williamsburg: 21

If McCreary's offense doesn't work well and has too many turnovers, it will be tough..

Williamsburg: 35

McCreary: 14

Who Cares?

Williamsburg was a one hit wonder a few years ago! They apparently think they have a running game with this Root kid, who was their center, and this Frazier kid seems to lack the decision making, but has a pretty good arm. Also to make Williamsburg's offense go you must have at least two receivers, right now they have half of one, or at least that is what I saw at the Knox game. Mccreary is a team that has never really developed and since their not in my district, I do not know much about them . So in a close one

In the past 2 games 7 different recivers have caught ball for Williamsburg. Root has broken 4 or 5 runs of 30 plus yards, with one being 71 yards and another 69, not bad for a center. Heard he was timed in the 4.7 range at Murray state earlier this summer. Frazier is completing over 60 per cent of his passes. 2 freshman as well as Will Moses are catching the ball well, and Hamlin is still a huge threat. Not sure what you saw at the Knox game, must have had different seats.

Coach Conn draws up the winning play for the Jackets and is lifted on the Jacket players arms as they escort him out of the stadium over at Stearns....lol

I hope to see him during UC's homecoming! Does anyone know who they play that week!

Root is having a banner year for the Jackets...is he getting any college looks yet?

From talking to Aaron and his dad he has heard from about 15 schools, NAIA, D2 and D3. Campbellsville and Mt. St. Joseph's are weekly letter writers, and Murray State has also shown interest. If this kid was 6 ft. tall instead of 5'8" he could play at a high level. Has a nice motor and lays it all on the line every game. Goes both ways and seems to rarely if ever come out. Some college coach is going to get a kid that will kill himself to play. He sure is fun to watch and has really surprised with his speed and field vision at FB.

Sounds like Root is out of the same mold as former Wburg great Chad Price...he went onto a nice career at Cumberland as well. Maybe the Patriots will find a place on their roster for Mr.Root.

I think most everyone can agree that Williamsburg out played KNox that night but did not get the win. What seats where you in again? and going 12-0 and then losing in overtime to a good Pikeville team is hardly a one hit wonder.
