Going with ff80. McCreary has'nt looked all that bad this year. Close, but the Raiders will rejoice.

I am hearing that this game will start around 4:30 because of some light problems that McCreary is having. Hope those wishing to watch the game can get off work in time. Has the possibilities to be a good football game.

Why not move to the Burg and play under the cool lights and have a decent crowd....it would be foolish to play this game on Friday at 4:30....at least move it to Saturday during the day so the fans can make it to the game.....Is there any truth to this?

Who Cares?

This isn't a thread you have to read. I think everyone involved with Williamsburg and McCreary Central, both their schools and their communities, care about this ballgame.

I predict Williamsburg winning by a couple touchdowns. Good luck to both teams.

Game will be played Friday at 4:30 at McCreary Central.

I would think the Jacket players will have to be dismissed from school early in order to make the trip over to Stearns. This always causes a stir among other sports team and such. I can not see why the McCreary officals would want to play this game at this time, but it is their home gate. I would move it to Saturday during the day so I could have a better crowd.

Coach Conn draws up the winning play for the Jackets and is lifted on the Jacket players arms as they escort him out of the stadium over at Stearns....lol

I thought he was a water boy???

The WaterBoy is Wayne Bargo......lol

Maybe he's Wayne's assistant.

Wayne is very valuable and dependable, not only to the football team but girls and boys basketball and baseball, softball teams. Any school would be lucky to have him helping with their programs.

Exactly, I won't disagree, which is why he has an assistant!

 my sides are hurting...thanks for the giggle!

This is (Mrs.) Nikeman. I called the school today. It seems that there is something in the "athletic contract" that doesn't allow them to play this game on saturday. Which I proceeded to say 'but with everything about money with schools anymore - you will miss out on a lot with this game'. LOL Not to mention it will be too hot for those boys to play - they'll probably get heat stroke. And it makes it hard for those parents who work - some who might work out of town - to not be able to get there for the game or get there way late into the game. I got the "I understand, but it has to do with the contract and this is what we have to do". I believe I'd be rewriting the contract for future problems like this.

Jackets 22-13.
