It's been reported that Joe Roskopf had 424 yards rushing and 5 td's!!!

True and true. Joe had a night to remember. I thought they would pull him after he got the school record, but he played on. I read that his yardage for the game was 7th best in state history.

I was kind of surprised that he was still in late in the 4th quarter in a blowout, but I guess that Coach Mitchell had his reasons.

Not sure what happened in the 4th but it appeared the score was 24-14 starting the 4th.

Starting the third. The score was 40 to 14 going into the 4th, with Pineville moving the ball. Don't let the score fool people, Pineville is a much much better football team. They have a very talented qb. First time in years I have notice movement in the Pineville program in the right direction.

They pulled him out a couple of times, but put him back out. I thought a couple of times that it might not go 4 qtrs. After the third, a few unsportsman like calls and some out of bounds hits looked like that it might get ugly, but it settled down and went on business as usual. Frustration, I guess. Maybe that's why he stayed in. Pineville looked good the first two qtrs., but looked out of gas pretty much in the second half. At least they are starting to look better. Elam will get them into a competitive mode if anyone can.
