Harlan vs. Lynn Camp

Featured Replies

This will be a true WAR of a high-powered offense, and a high-powered defense. What are your all's predictions for this huge game in District 7?

It is all according to how Harlan bounces back from their first loss. If they choose to lay around and sulk about being 4-1 all week at practice then this week will be an ugly one for them. I guess it was about three years ago when Lynn Camp had a very good team that had just beaten Somerset the week before and Harlan had a good team that was just coming off its first loss of the season when they were upset at Cumberland. Harlan took the loss as a wake up call and came out and smacked Lynn Camp 43-6. If Harlan chooses to take the Breathitt Co loss as a wake up call then they will win this game by a couple touchdowns. If they choose to feel sorry for themselves over loosing a hard fought game to a good ball club last week then they will loose by a couple of touchdowns. I will have to listen around to see how Harlan is practicing this week, if they practice well and have a good attitude then I will pick them. We will just have to wait and see.

I agree with the waggle-meister on the concept, but I already see the hunger in the Dragons' eyes. Lynn Camp has a good front O line and a credible offensive threat, but the Green Machine will begin to roll once more and defeat the campers 28-14. In the meantime the Harlan offensive gurus must inspire leaps and bounds improvements in their players looking toward the better passing defenders, such as Middlesboro, but most importantly Williamsburg and the Briar Jumpers in order to grab that District Crown. This week, though its all about Lynn Camp. One step at a time.

Harlan 28

Camp 14

Lynn Camp will be totally healthy for the first time this year and are starting to play both sides of the ball well. Harlan is playing good football, also. LC is at home, so I'm going with the Campers by 3. This is usually a really good game, but it has fallen off to blowouts since the OT in 2003.

Should be a great game and could decide who get's a 1st round home playoff game.

My guess is Lynn Camp 24 Harlan 22

I like Harlan by 10. They are playing well, despite the loss Friday night.

I'll go with Lynn Camp 21-7. I don't think Harlan has enough offense to beat Lynn Camp or Somerset. I think these teams will meet in week one of the playoffs. I just don't see anyone scoring enough or being able to stop Somerset's passing game.....this one is for 2nd place in the district.

I think LC has the best O and D line in district and the best running back. If Harlan can throw and keep LC under 250 yards rushing they could win. I see LC winning 21-7.

The biggest D line maybe, but Harlan's D line is up to that challenge.

either my connections are way off or you guys should all be the guru. I will go with my connections and say

Harlan 35

Lynn Camp 7

I have to give the edge to Harlan. Lynn Camp being a running team I think will have a very tough time against this Harlan run defense that is very good, especially if Stephenson is healthy. I'm gunna say:

Harlan - 21

Lynn Camp - 14 In a close one
