WILDMAN Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 I wish I could make this game. Harlan and Cumberland always have an exciting game where both teams lay it on the line. Cumberland has drilled their two opponents this year but it's hard to get a read on them due to the quality of Jenkins and Besty Layne. Harlan however have proven to be legit. Right now I have to give the edge to the Green Dragons but it should be a great game.
DragonNG73 Posted September 3, 2006 Posted September 3, 2006 Let's just hope their physically ready, I mean playing teams like Betsy Lane and Jenkins are good confidence builders, but they don't prepare you for getting lined up and "smacked in the mouth".
LC99 Posted September 3, 2006 Posted September 3, 2006 Harlan looks to be playing the best football in the district right now. Cumberland will get their first test. Cumberland has surprised Harlan in recent years, and with the game at Cumberland it should be a great game. I look for Harlan to pull away late, and their defense to step up and slow down the Skins. Harlan 20 Cumberland 6
Bubba Wilson Posted September 3, 2006 Posted September 3, 2006 Harlan has been pretty impressive so far. Hope things continue to go well for old Coach Donahue. He is one of my fav-o-right coaches in them mountains. This is a rivalry game that can go either way. I will take Harlan 20 Cumberland 16
Mastermind Posted September 3, 2006 Posted September 3, 2006 Tough pre-district schedule helps the Dragons sneak out the win....Harlan 28 - Cumberland 22
DRAGONPAPPY Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 Dragon D is even stingier than usual this year. Harlan 35 Cumberland 13
Mr.Fundamental Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 I think that we have to much speed for Harlan! However, Harlan always has been a team that can hit with anyone. I think Cumberland 26 Harlan 21

Waggle_12 Posted September 5, 2006 Posted September 5, 2006 I'm going to call this one in favor of Harlan. Cumberland finally gets to play a team that wouldn't loose to a good middle school team. This could end up being close though if Harlan can’t put together a complete good game and not just one half. However, I don't see Harlan coming out flat in this one. Harlan: 35 Cumberland: 14 :jump:
dragon_slayer Posted September 8, 2006 Posted September 8, 2006 Cumberland's weak schedule makes it harder to figure this one out. If I recall correctly, Cumberland has won 4 out of the last 5 meetings. With the Skins at home and returning several starters from last year I will go with Cumberland in a close game. Cumberland 15 Harlan 14

Cumberland 15 Harlan 14 Cumberland is for real. If they can keep their heads, and play well at Somerset next week, they will make some noise in the district.
