Scrimmage: Holmes v Tates Creek
Two starters for Tates Creek also did not play in Ryan Fucci and Jordan Hagan.

Bryan Station Discussion
Station had a bad year at the freshman level going 1-8.

Henry Clay @ Boone County
Having seen both Henry Clay and Campbell Co. play this year, Henry Clay is better. Henry Clay has a better defense this year than in years past, but they lack the same bevy of skill players, Hooker is fast and strong back, but outside of him, the home run threat really does not exist. The key to beating Henry Clay is getting to the second level and blocking linebackers Federspiel and Baker (#44, #14). They are both big and move laterally very well. They are a force for the team this year.

Class 6A Playoff Matchups
Tates Creek is a very young team only 13 seniors on a 6A club. They have a new coach who has changed identities of the entire program. Altering 40 years of history is very tough. They have played tough this year however. Their M.O. at this point is to give teams everything they want for the first half, play a terrible 3rd quarter and then settle down and play a decent fourth quarter. They have a 1st year QB who is a JR. most of the skill players are sophomores who are being asked to carry the load and that's tough. Give this team two years in Mike Harmon's system and they'll be ok. Right now they are finding their way, however if their offense starts to click they will be a tough out in the playoffs. Their defense is really good, but their offense has perpetually shot themselves in the foot and put the defense in bad spots, but young teams always do that. I truly believe the game against Conner will be a battle.

Independent school struggles
Hazard is doing quite well.

6A semi-final question?
I still think Henry Clay will be there when all is said and done. They seem to have gotten back on track the last couple of weeks.

Lafayette 12 Tates Creek 7
Great game by both teams. The defenses were excellent. Once TC finds some rhythm on O, they'll be ok. They are improving quickly. Lafayette once played lights out on D. #6 and #40 are vry good LB's. Classy ending to the game at midfield.

Paris Home Stadium
Does Paris play at the school. Looking to make the drive in for tonight's game. Thanks for any help!

Top Freshman squads?
They only beat Tates Creek by 2 in OT, who lost to Henry Clay 34-12. I've seen Woodford Co. and although good are not up there with Henry Clay or Scott Co. at this point. Now they do have the opportunity to prove me wrong.

Top Freshman squads?
Henry Clay and Scott Co. are the two top teams in the Lexington/CKY league by a wide margin right now.
-
Freshman teams - Who has them?
Any freshman teams looking for a game on 10-6???? Tates Creek needs one they are 2-2 right now. Neighbor's son plays on team.

Madison Central 46 Tates Creek 25
Well if Tates Creek isn't very good then neither is Madison Central, because both defenses are atrocious, the score at halftime was 13-13 and Tates Creek moved the ball continually all night.

Bishop Brossart
Thanks!

Bishop Brossart
Do they have a home stadium or do they play their games somewhere else? Thanks for the help.

09/08/2008 Courier-Journal Litkenhous Football Ratings
Campbell Co. will truly surprise people this year.
-
Tates Creek 34 Lincoln County 13
Tates Creek should have scored 60 tonight, way too many turnovers and lost opportunities.
-
Boyle County 31 Henry Clay 7
Henry Clay is way down compared to the last couple of years, but on the flip side Larry French is that good.

Rough day for 6A
Nelson Co., I believe was vastly over rated but Marion Co., has made strides over the last couple of years. Henry Clay does not have the skill players this year to be a contender. Campbell Co., is a top 10 team this year. They are big and strong and the addition of the Ilg brothers really has helped, and the backup tailback is much quicker than the starter.

Lincoln verses Tates Creek
The senior QB is Rozell James, who is a super athlete who is being recruited by several d-1 schools. He will be a difference maker on Saturday, as will Chris Kemplin, people aren't giving Campbell Co. enough credit, Campbell Co. IS A TOP 10 TEAM IN 6A, the rankinbgs don't reflect that yet, but they are tough.

Bryan Station 45 Paul Dunbar 14
David Hensley was a decent coach, but Dunbar was a much better program before he got there. Not saying he tore it down but they were a consistent winner before he got there thanks to Meighan, Barnott and the likes. Hensley did not create the PLD program nor "turn them around."

Henry Clay/Ballard Scrimmage
I heard Henry Clay rolled in this one.

Lexington Schools
Tates Creek also held numerous starters including the QB and a few key reserves out the action last night.
