1. Wow! What a great showing against the #1 5A team.

2. How did this team lose five games?

3. What does 2009 look like for the Defenders? 2010?

4. Is BS a serious threat to win a state title in the coming years?

5. Were the Birds caught off guard in this one or is BS that good?

6. Hats off to Coach Oliver Lucas and please stick with it!

They will be moving up to 6A next year so the state championship doesn't sound likely any time soon. They do have a lot of football players and will just reload every year. This team has a ton of height in all grades, and might be one of the tallest football teams in the state.

Station had a bad year at the freshman level going 1-8.

Did the have any Frosh playing JV that did not play Frosh?

Can't argue that. I didn't see the Colerain game, so this was easily the best opponent I saw the Birds play all season. Central had some nice individual athletes, but as a team they were never a threat to beat the Birds. BS probably should have won on Friday, and maybe a more seasoned playoff team would have.

That's what we asked the BS fans sitting in front of us. No one could really say.

Not caught off guard, but not at their sharpest and at the worst possible time. Consider a) the botched punt, b) Tony G fumbling twice, c) poorly timed penalties, d) a missed chip shot field goal (that may have been blocked,) e) poorer than everage officiating (albeit both ways). It was said that this was the 2008 version of the 2007 HHS-Central game, and I can't add much to that except that it could have been a LOT more costly.

6. Hats off to Coach Oliver Lucas and team. I'm kind of glad the Defenders will be moving to 6A.;)

We welcome any potential strengthening of our class top to bottom. :D

I'd like to see one of those Ryle games next year replaced with a Bryan Station game. That would be a great regular season game for both teams.

Any idea who 5A gets in return?

A team to be named later and two picks in the 2010 draft.
