I would love to discuss Friday night's game with some of you Baby Blue Rebel fans. How do you see this game playing out?

Well expect run run run from the rebels...... How is Henry Clay against the run?

Boone Co. 28-21.

I think Boone gets the win. They are clicking both offensively and defensively and I don't see Henry Clay being able to stop Quainoo and Boone rushing attack.

Interesting game with the playoff bracket already set. I think Boone gets it done at home.

Last year was a miserable game, it was cold and raining. I'd say that Boone had as much with stopping the run as HC did, they fumbled in the redzone twice! With that said, Henry Clay had a good passing attack and Boone had no answer for that. Boone is a much improved defensive team this year. Reports are that HC has played extremely well the last four games and seem to be peaking at the right time. I hope that Boone doesn't have a let down after their big win last week. Look for a close one; I'll take Boone 21 - 17.

Henry Clay can stop the run if the other team does not have a balanced attack. They will load the box if their opponent can't throw, but I am under the impression that Boone County has some good athletes to utilize in the passing game. That spells trouble for the Blue Devils.

I just saw on MaxPreps that Boone County quarterbacks have completed 38 of 73 passes in eight games this season. That means they average attempting just 9 passes per game. I think they will need better balance than that to beat Henry Clay.

Quainno ran the ball 53 times against Ryle. If Henry Clay can stop the run, then they will win the game.

That's what everyone has said this year stop the run and win...... Campbell Co. pretty much shut down Boone running game and the rebels prevailed from that one.

Having seen both Henry Clay and Campbell Co. play this year, Henry Clay is better. Henry Clay has a better defense this year than in years past, but they lack the same bevy of skill players, Hooker is fast and strong back, but outside of him, the home run threat really does not exist. The key to beating Henry Clay is getting to the second level and blocking linebackers Federspiel and Baker (#44, #14). They are both big and move laterally very well. They are a force for the team this year.

Again, Henry Clay is able to stop the run against teams that are not balanced. They struggle greatly against good strictly passing teams and balanced teams (Trinity).

 

If Boone County does not mix in play-action passing I would think they will not be productive offensively against Henry Clay.

 

If Boone County runs Quainoo 53 times, it would greatly reduce their chances of winning this game.
