Rough day for 6A

#4 Scott Co- Loss to Lex Catrh 16-10

#7 Henry Clay- Loss to Boyle 31-10

#8 North Hardin- Loss to Warren Central 34-19

#10 Nelson Co- Loss to Marion Co 28-17

Not to exclude close games with #3 Manual and Seneca 48-35 (although later in the season I expect Seneca to be ranked, they have a pretty good squad could go 8-2 in regular season) #9 Fern Creek with Doss 26-25 and a closer than predicted game between #2 Trinity and Bowling Green 17-0.

Looks like we may see some new faces in the ranking this week.

It was definitely a Black Friday for a number of highly rated 6A teams. :scared:

However, I feel a lot of this is due to the fact that 6A is much weaker overall this season compared to the other classes. The numbers theory for football supremacy is taking a major beating. Combine this with a lot of 6A in-class balance, where anyone could beat anyone on any given Friday, and you have a ranking nightmare, where teams are positioned as much by default as they are merit. Nevertheless, the end result should make for some exciting and unpredictable (at least outside of X and T) playoff senarios.

Nelson Co., I believe was vastly over rated but Marion Co., has made strides over the last couple of years. Henry Clay does not have the skill players this year to be a contender. Campbell Co., is a top 10 team this year. They are big and strong and the addition of the Ilg brothers really has helped, and the backup tailback is much quicker than the starter.
