  1. Prestonsburg 21 Pikeville 12 Around 3 minutes left in the 4th, clock running Prestonsburg 2nd & goal at Pikeville 8
  2. 6-pt. margin, but still a good call, even though there was 4 minutes left! :thumb: 2 FG's only tie with a 6-pt. lead.
  3. Where are you Pap? Can you imagine the Cats going for the 2-pt. conversion with 7 minutes to go? We've been hearing that it's point chasing to go for 2 unless it's down to 3 minutes, or less! :thumb: Of course, they didn't convert, but a FG will still put them ahead. :sssh: And a TD is even better!
  4. Yes! Congratulations to Woodford County. :thumb:
  5. Ditto that, FBALL. Very surprised!
  6. I think Virginia strategically picks which Kentucky teams they play, and usually picks the smaller KY schools to play their larger schools. I'm not sure which teams have played VA teams, but they've historically been Class A border schools who have been enticed to cross the border to play their larger schools. :thumb:
  7. You took the words right out of my mouth, FBALL! The way the Eagles have been playing this year, I don't see the final margin being any less than 21 pts. And the score you put up was what I was thinking before I read your post!
  8. The Patriots will have their hands full with this one. They may score, but it won't be until the 2nd half. They're way overdue for a surprise, but it won't be with this game. 56-7 Hounds
  9. Yea, and USC.... What do those guys drink?
  10. And gametime said he was as good as anyone in negotiating all the sites, but failed to mention any rankings...... Too bad he can't enjoy all of college football! :sssh:
  11. Front page usually attracts a little attention.... Unless you don't read, of course.
  12. So, let's say that it had gone by your scenario, and getting late in the game, with the Cards having just scored and leading 35-34, given that UK had converted that phantom 2-pt. conversion, then the Cats chew up some clock and score another TD and, since there's under 3 minutes left in the game, UK attempts and, again, converts another 2-pt conversion, making the score then 42-35. Then, with some good passing and clock management, and a little better luck, the Cards do score that late TD! Do they then kick the extra pt. to tie the game, since they're the visiting team, satisfied with sending it into OT. Or, do they go for the win by attempting a 2-pt. conversion since they're on the road? Of course, this scenario would have existed only had the Cats gone for, and converted, that phantom 2-pt conversion. Otherwise, the Cards win the game with the 6 pts. from the TD, not even needing to kick that final PAT since there was no time left on the clock. Also, if the Cards do put up that TD at the end of the game, they only needed to kick the PAT, and win the game. So, were those 2 pts. not important? Pap and I both still think they were! :thumb:
  13. And, of course, they're entitled to disagree! That's the best part of this website! :thumb: I was wrong, once. But not on this topic. And I'll leave it at that.
  14. Now you're saying to make it public! :irked: A poll won't reflect coaches opinions, only armchair quarterbacks. Enough already with this one.
  15. And where did this "chasing points" come from anyway? The decision regarding whether to go for the kick or run on conversions should be in direct reflection of the current score, even if it's a 3 TD margin. How do you know the other team won't make up those 3 TD's and, depending on whether they need only to kick the extra point to win, or the 2-pt conversion to win, might be the difference in the ballgame. How can this be considered "chasing points"?
  16. OK, and just who are these coaches?
  17. Pitino & Petrino just belong together! Think about it.... :thumb:
  18. So you're saying that you always expect more scoring, and by both teams.... Amazing!
