Spring Sports Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 :thumb: Leslie's defense was awsome. The infield turned three double plays! Keep up the good work guys!:dancingpa Also, Morgan pitched a great game!:flame:
gold sunrise Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 I knew this would be a tuff game. Congrats to Leslie Co. Who pitched for GRC? Heads up Cards and continue to work hard.
EagleMan4Life Posted April 7, 2006 Posted April 7, 2006 Good win for the eagles they also beat hazard.
Get Off The Track Posted April 7, 2006 Posted April 7, 2006 brian Hubbard's homerun give the go ahead run for the eagles.
baseballmomma Posted April 7, 2006 Posted April 7, 2006 Congrats to Leslie Co on the win. GRC is a very solid team and this is a high quality win. IMO, the chances are slim that any other 14th region team(including Lee Co) will knock off Leslie Co this season. With 3 pitchers that throw low to mid 80s consistently, and solid hitting 1-9, this team could definitely make it to Applebees.

Your description of Leslie County is pretty much a description of Lee County too. Strong pitching, solid hitting from top to bottom, etc.. I don't think there's much difference in these two teams. It will probably come down to who is "on" the day that they play one another. They don't play until mid-May, and then play twice in one week.

Who are some of the teams Lee has played this year?
CatchMeIfYouCan Posted April 7, 2006 Posted April 7, 2006 Who are some of the teams Lee has played this year? Lee has played 4 games. They are 3-1 with wins against JBS, Owsley & Estill. The loss came against Cordia with a score of 9-1. Lee plays Knox today

Lee plays Knox today I'm not sure, but I don't think Cordia beat Lee County. That game was in the regional All A tournament, and Lee County won the tournament, so Cordia couldn't have beaten them. It must be a misprint on the KHSAA website, with the score reversed. I think Lee is 4-0, and have outscored their opponents 43-6. Some of their future games include Knox, Letcher, Leslie (twice), Clark, Madison Southern, Perry, Clay, Garrard, Whitley, and the usual round robin district games with Powell, Estill, and Owsley.

Yea, your right. If they won the All A then they couldnt have gotten beat by Cordia. Must be a misprint.
EagleMan4Life Posted April 7, 2006 Posted April 7, 2006 wins against JBS, Owsley & Estill. Wow some pretty stiff competition:sleep:
EagleMan4Life Posted April 7, 2006 Posted April 7, 2006 I don't think you can rank them with Leslie at this point in the season. Maybe later on when they face some tough teams.
The Professor Posted April 7, 2006 Posted April 7, 2006 Wow some pretty stiff competition:sleep: Its not been too demanding so far, but they do have a 9-5 win over Estill County....the same Estill that defeated Clark County 5-3 recently....the same Clark County you guys just beat. And they have a bunch of top-notch quality opponents, including Clark County, remaining on their schedule. And by the way, you're making fun of Owsley County but they are presently 5-1 with wins over Hazard, Breathitt, Jenkins, Buckhorn and Menifee, with their only loss to Lee County. If you think for one minute that Lee County isn't for real, you might find out for yourself how wrong you are in May.
