I really think the BOBCATs has a liget shot at getting there and maybe with a little luck winning it all,they have all the pieces of the puzzles in place,QB (Colby Fugate),Linemen (Morgan,Turner),and running backs(Channing Fugate,Chris Jackson) and recievers (Epperson,Hearld,Allen,Huff,and more),They are so much more quicker,and stronger BUT one thing has me somewhat worried is they are so young at defensive backs (Jade Haddix,Channing Fugate) they will really have to step it up,if that happens watch out for them Breathitt County Bobcats,they will be there for sure!!:ylsuper: :jump: :banana: :banana: :banana: Go Breathitt Co. Congrats to Coach Jay Cobbs You will make all folks at Henderson Co Proud,we will miss you here in the mountians but hey you have to do what you have to do,I think its a good fit for you and get the footballs in the air, Go Bobcats!!!!

I am so glad that WKU is taking an intrest in Eastern ky Kids,Its a great place for our kids to go to college and they will be treated well and get a good Education,Go Toppers!!!

Breathitt Co. finished very well in this tourney,and i must say most was pleased with the way the Offence played,defense isbehind a little (Young) but Chapman will get it done this year,Fugate Bros. played well and Epperson was on his game as was Allen they really looked sharp,Dusty Allen a seldom used on defense played really well,made big plays,over all they were in top 4 so wasnt bad and really should have played In Championship game thay had male down 20-8 but speed is something that Male has plenty of,so Sports fans watch out for the Bobcats they will be back and ready to go....Go Bobcats.........

What is some of the players/parents are thinking:walk: ,i have heard some are leaving,coaches move and most of the time kids like to go with a winning coaches and we all like winners but some where we have to take our school name and colors and wear them with pride,or is that gone from sports programs,just like see what other sports people think on this.........:ylsuper: :banana: :banana: :dancingpa :dancingpa :dancingpa

All i can say as a true fan of sports ,i am glad we still have you in our region,he has to be one of the best we got in many years and its just good he stayed here in 14th,Congrats Coach Holland and you will win at Hazard as they have lots of talent and your one of the best coaches in our region,just sad that you didnt or couldnt finish up at PCC but hey no one blames you ,and i am sure of that,we are proud you took a stand and made the right move,again Congrats and hope you the best........ Coach Mike will make the mountians a much better place to play football,I really think that was a huge step for Powell Co.,and yes the program seems to be headed in right way,and thats UP,good luck Mike we are glad u are back home ,and i am sure people all are glad u back.............Go Bobcats....

I think Breathitt Bobcats will have a very good chance of playing for trip to Pizza bowl,Russell and Belfry does stand in way but we have a good team coming back and dont be surprised if Bobcats are not Bobcats of old,they will be there with lots returning starters and I really do expect lots from them this year so Go Bobcats.......

FROM WHAT I HEAR THEY MAY BE SOME MOVING OF ATHLETES AROUND NEXT YEAR,NOT TOO HAPPY BUT THAT HAPPENS EVERYWHERE,SO IF THEY DONT LOOSE ANYONE THEY WILL HAVE TA BE THE ODDS ON FAVORITE TO RETURN,AND bOBCATS WILL BE THERE AND WATCH OUT FOR THE hAZARD BULLDAWGS THEY HAVE LOTS TALENT.....

Breathitt Bobcats should be a good 3-a team or i might say one of the best this year,they will be to reckon with,lost a few key people but QB and line and defense is in tack,lost one better lineman and center and running back but Bailey and fugate will take up slack,shore should be a banner year,and i do believe they will be a hard workin group of young athletes,so look for lots good things ta be happenin on Bobcat Lane this year... This is such a great post to reply to but as many have already said,this is why i like high school football,it takes kids and coaches togeather,and they make what they become,Coaches takes kids that may not do well in class and they stay in school just because the coach lets them see they can fit in,and lots without a very good home life with parents or having NO parent s and coaches makes them feel wanted,i know i seen this done and thats a credit to all GOOD coaches we i must say we have lots good coaches here in state of KY and here in Eastern Ky.,but then lookin at another side of the coin u take a kid thats not an athlete and put him on a football team ,they get ta see what teamworks about and heck they buy into the word "team work" and when he become a senior ,you wonder how it happen this kid couldnt have made it in any other sport because he just wasnt the athletic type and u know what the Kid did he just bought in to the team work system,and that another thing our coaches preach is teamwork,and i have to say going on friday nites and watching High School football is what i truely love because i see kids that (most)do not the talent to be out there playing but hard work and dedicating themself make them a better student,person and player,and to wanta be there doing something worth while and wanting too WIN is something as a Dad,an Fan of the game,and someone who loves kids, enjoy seeing in our High school sports as a whole is well worth it,so I am ready for the lites to be turned on on the fields on friday nite ,and hear "QB is back ready to pass and balls in the air TD, Touchdown or ihe hands the ball off up the middle,Touchdown","Touchdown "!!!! , or "WoW", what a "HIT" did u hear that "NOW thats music to my ears" and just a few GOOD reason I love high school football!!! I hope all teams have a great year in Ky High School Football and i hope to getta see lots of good mountian Football, and yes i might say,GO BREATHITT CO. BOBCATS!!!!!

This is so true LOTS of kids are sold and sell themselfs short because of Height,but hey its whats in the HEAD and Heart that they (Coaches and Colleges)cant measure and talent is what they really wanta see,but they are not many D-1 players in state,and thats the shame of it all,everyone needs to help market our kids and all would benifit from it,But hey its all about being a STUDENT /Athlete,get the education and rest has to be kinda lucky,finding a place to fit in is a scary thing for most kids,but i must say it happens to a FEW and they are blessed......JMO.................

JMO if all the ones that are picked #1 made it then u wouldnt have the excitment at the games as they are we all like the underdogs,and hopefully they show all great game......Go all teams the greatest show on earth.....

I have not heard who has gotten this honor,is this facts or who u want to have it,I really think BC Coach Steve Banks and Coach Stepp of JBS should be given a good look,Banks has taken a team with a 4 and 23 record and made them a good solid team,and just look at Stepp he has taken JBS to RUPP,and I do agree Coach Lively is a quality young Coach and would be deserving of this also,but hey when ya look at it he maybe should be in Rupp playing this YEAR,with all those seniors just my thinking....Congrats to who-ever gets it,it will be so well deserved.....And Player of Year ,my thinking is they are only one choice "Justin Hicks" ,he is by far the best we have in 14th,so would be so surprised if he didnt get it.......

As a mountain Basketball FAN the Game of High School Basketball has gotten better this year,but athlete for athlete The Mountian Teams dont seem to do well in Rupp,I will be for JBS,and hope they win,but thats all we can do is support all our Teams from mountians,and HOPE they make to the Finals and make this a very good tourney if not Saturday games will not have a good crowd,we all know that,Maybe the Slipper will fit a mountian Team ,we jest HOPE!!!

This is the time that most teams see whats they are going too have in summer 7 on 7 ,and then when pratices start they are ready to go,so Spring ball and winter weights are where teams made whats ur thinking on this..... Go Breathitt Co. Bobcats 3-A here we come!!!! :dancingpa :ylsuper:

As a Parent I think it is left to those parents who wanta hold their kids back and for what reason,Maybe Grades or maybe they wanta see him grow as a person,but we all must realize that,and what most dont understand is they are STUDENT/Athlete's,and that's what its all about,we all dont make the right decisions all the time ,and i must say parenting is hardest job any of us have but we have to make the best call we can when it comes to our KIDs,cause thats what its all about is the KIDs...just my opinion....

Great Post Master ,we are proud of the Bobcats,and yes, i am one that never wants to blame a loss on bad calls,it shows weakness,and we are not weak at BHS,and The Adminstration and Coaches have done their best to have what it takes for our Kids to be their best,and thats all we as Parents and fans can ask,Again Congrats to JBS,and Hazard we support whoever goes outta 14th region to sweet sixteen at Rupp,and we (Bobcat fans) will miss, Mr. Brandon Hayes as a Bobcat Player next year he is a Class Act,and thats whats it's all about in a Student/Athlete,fine Young Man i say,Thanks Brandon from all the Fans that enjoy the game of Basketball,Go Bobcats......

I would be first to say it wasn't the way the game was call that beat our BOBCATs,Young Stepp and his older brother and Best Shooter and maybe player on TEAM, Cox was the reason,and Yes, Collins did a Great job in the middle. Breathitt Bobcats will be back and we all know they will,i tell ya we have some of the best talent in state in our freshman Class,Fugate and Noble,Ritchie,Haddix,Cox,Stepp,and Stamper,and Hazard has a bunch of kids and this is just to say a few names and list goes on and i would say that they are none in state that can match our young athletes and i am so proud to say this,so the 14th region future looks bright and as a TRUE fan Of Sports here in Mountians,I love it and our kids are our Joy,and what else are there to say,Good Luck to all our Ball players and Teams ,we do care....

Congrats to JBS,they came out on fire and the best team WON tonite,Hope they play that well against Hazard, (and it will take it for JBS to beat Hazard,)but i doubt it,Breathitt Bobcats had no answers,hot shooting,Bobcats has had a great season just bad we went out on a blast like we did,we are proud of our TEAM and Coaches,and thats all we can say,what a year makes,4 and 23 and now 24-5 WoW,thats a strong statement,(Banks Should get Coach of The YEAR)and we are so young,we got a good ole butt whooping tonite and we will be back,just ya wait and see......Go Bobcats

i think the bobcats will win this one by about 6. Smith is to strong for collins? i think that the bobcats will have clark stepp and tate cox tore up they wont be able to hit a shot!!!!

Smith will be the king in the paint i think the bobcats will just play man to man and let stepp do all the scoring and not let the other people get the ball. I mean one guy cann't have 60 points to beat ya. Like rupp said "we will let (pistol pete) score 50 and dont let anyone else score!! Rupp always beat him!!

I agree totally,Rice is a hard nose player and whats not to like about a young man that gives his all, and that Blank can shoot with the best of them,Breathitt has a lot of Freshman and they have only 2 seniors,and 2 Jr's so Bobcats are and will only get better and Coach Banks and his staff is getting it done and we are proud of them and our team...............
