Pretty much.. I havent seen a mountain team in the Sweet 16 to stop them yet. Anything is possible... but I highly doubt that Warren Central will be denied a spot in the Final Four.

Warren Central will beware of the boys from Sandy Hook if and when they play them. They'll deal with June Buchanon first.

 

The possibility of Central overlooking a team is nothing new. They have absolutely owned their region for years and are always the favorite in those games. Coach Riley is an expert at keeping them focused. Additionally, though I personally don't put too much stock in the game, they did only win by 3 over Shelby Valley earlier in the year, their only game against a mountain team. That alone should tell them how dangerous mountain boys can be.

 

All that said, I will be very surprised if Warren Central is not playing Saturday morning. If you're really honest with yourselves, you'll agree that that is the case.

JBS lost to Mason County by 2 on a Buzzer Beater 3 pointer. So anything can happen, I dont expect JBS to win but I dont think Warren Central will destroy them. Ya just never know.

June B's ballhandling will help them in this one. I dont know about pulling the upset but June B's has really come together as a team of lately and seem to be hitting shots underpressure. If this game gets in a run-and-gun game then June B is in trouble because Warren's athleticism will cause them a problem in rebounding and making plays early and often. If the pressure doesn't wear down June B and they dont turn the ball over countless times then June B may have a chance in the end........and all anyone can ask for is a chance.

 

Clark and Tate both have to have a good game and Clint can hit a few from deep and Collins is able to crash the boards hard for some put back(almost like bonus points) then this could an instant classic. (Because we all know they are the primary shooter/scorers on the teams and they do get their shots one way or another.)

I agree that most people across the state, especially in Central and Western Kentucky believe that Warren Central will not have much problem getting to the final 4, but having seen 2 of the 3 other teams in their bracket multiple times I believe they will have their hands full winning these 2 games. As I stated in another post, if I had to pick a team to come out of this bracket I would take Warren Central, but I do believe they will have to play very well in both games to come away victorious. I haven't seen Elliot County, but I have seen JBS and Shelby Valley and they are 2 excellent teams that are very well coached and they will test Central in a big way. Just like in many cases, fans may be overlooking these teams, but I guarantee Central's coaches are not. I really believe the Rupp Arena fans will enjoy what JBS, Shelby Valley and Elliot County will bring to the dance.

JBS is no match for Warren Central. Central will roll into the semi's, no problem. Don't get me wrong JBS has a very good basketball team, but still no match for Central. Go Dragons!

The same way they coasted to that 63-60 victory over Shelby Valley on 01-27-07. IMO they will not coast into the semi's, but will have a very tough time getting there if they get there at all.
