Pretty sure that this is the longest Warren Central thread I've seen on here since they lost to South Laurel. Maybe since they won the championship.

I would agree with you that Central got what appears to be a good draw for them, but I just think you should show some respect for the teams in their bracket like I know Central's coaching staff will. The thing that I really want to point out is that I have seen these teams play several times and I believe they bring a little bit more to the dance this year than teams from these regions have brought the last couple years, and through hard work and committment by a lot of people have built three very solid programs. Just a little respect is all I would like to see these guys get, and I am not from the 14th, 15th or 16 Region, I am a 13th Region guy

I've seen two of the three, and I've seen Warren Central. I believe that Warren Central is clearly the best of the bunch, but they still have to get the job done.

If an upset was pulled against WC I believe SV has the best shot at doing it, they probabily match up better with Central that the other 2, that is if they get past Elliott County, just my opinion.

This is Jeremy Anderson's 5th consecutive trip to the Sweet 16. I doubt he is thinking any of these.. The team is preparing for June Buchanan like they would if it were Scott Co.

To say that Central didnt take the game as serious and that they were not as hyped about the game IMO is being disrespectful to Shelby Valley in regard to the game on 1-27-07. This has been a good discussion and I think we all agree that Central is the favorite to come out of this bracket, but it may not be as easy as some people that dont know much about any of the 4 teams would think, just by looking at recent sweet 16 history and rankings this year.

I would say you are right. I can't see JBS beating Warren Central. I think Elliott could beat them if they shot absolutely lights out. Shelby Valley probably would have the best chance of beating them straight up without a great deal of other factors (great shooting, etc.) influencing the game.

IMO JBS shouldnt have beat Powell, Warren Central is for sure the better team. Im predicting a 15+ win by Central. JMHO

I've lived in the mountain areas for the last several years, and the mountain folks indeed have a bit of an inferiority complex. Probably deserved. It has been some time since mountain teams made their name known at Lex. Maybe they'll follow the lead of Pike Central's girls and make a surprising deep run. I haven't seen Elliott this year, but I have seen the other three. I see no circumstance where a 14/15/16th Region team makes the semis. Hopefully I'm wrong, because I think it would be great for EKy to get a team beyond Friday.

The truth is its great to see some of the teams from the mountains make it to the Sweet 16. A lot of the communities in the mountains are full of really hardworking people who arent that wealthy and it means a lot for communities to make it to the Sweet 16.
