South Laurel was in the 12th region at that time,but are now in the 13th.They're are a lot of 13th region teams that are southeast Kentucky also.South and Corbin and teams around there in the 13th are more so eastern Kentucky IMO,but the 13th is and should be considered a mountain region also.

 

Corbin and South Laurel are both SE Ky teams. They are considered Mtn schools. Basically any school that is covered by the mountain station, WYMT is considered a Mtn school.

Thanks, doc! Nobody knew that. This isn't a national discussion, though. Its a state discussion. And the mountain regions, and to a lesser-extent the far western regions, are the outlying "country" folks compared to Louisville/Lexington/Covington, etc.

The only difference between these 3 citys and the rest of the state is they may have a glass of wine with their cornbread instead of a BUD. :D :D
