The Jackets win a nail biter 938-2. Caleb Pope runs for 832 yards and 23 TDs in the first quarter.

Not for the fans

My post definitely wasnt meant as an insult or a slight.

Wow... that sucks for Boyle County.

Ill never understand that... what are you supposed to do? Not run your offense anymore? Its not Boyle's fault they are better than everyone else.

"What are we supposed to do? Take a knee for four downs and punt?"

I disagree because its not like we have basketball powerhouses either. We are weak in both high school sports.

That doesnt make our state look good at all

I heard that Paris is only dressing 15 players or so this year and came very close to shutting down the program. That really is terrible to hear, considering their history.

I definitely think we have a good shot in this game. Its unfortunate, however, that we lost two starters to knee injuries last week.

I didnt make the championship game... so Im going to have to go with the state semi game. Amazing game.

NC 21 BC 7

This is probably a correct assesment.

Im just curious, where is Lawrence Co getting the money for the new uniforms?

Well, what do you think?

Thats terrible. My prayers go out.

Anyone know how to get a copy of the 2002 Male/Trinity Game?

Ok... so basically we arent disagreeing on anything.

Yes, great players fall through the cracks. He might not have got noticed by D1 schools at all... or they might have saw him and thought he wasnt good enough. Either way, the facts are that D1 is the best of the best and % wise sends the most players to the NFL by a long shot.

Again, those people are the EXCEPTION. A much higher % of D1 players make the NFL than D1-AA or DII... however, your argument makes no sense as Joe Flacco was offered and ACCEPTED a D1 scholarship out of HS. He was at Pitt for two years before transferring.

No, of course they are good, they made it to the NFL. However, the post above mine was disputing the claim that D1 was the best of the best... and % wise it is.

And those are great examples...but are also EXCEPTIONS. If you looked at the % of players in the NFL, it obviously would be overwhelmingly D1 schools.

Dont know about St Pat. Cofer has been at NC for several years now.

Word is now that its a minimum of two games and that will probably be it

The best HS football game I have been too. Amazing atmosphere and amazing game. Took a video of the winning FG and the team celebrating at the 50 after. The effort and emotion put out by both teams is what makes HS football great.
