I heard that Paris is only dressing 15 players or so this year and came very close to shutting down the program. That really is terrible to hear, considering their history.

I definitely think we have a good shot in this game. Its unfortunate, however, that we lost two starters to knee injuries last week.

I didnt make the championship game... so Im going to have to go with the state semi game. Amazing game.

Its different in baseball than in the NBA or even football. There is no salary cap and no revenue sharing in baseball. That destroys small market teams. Example, even when Cleveland was awesome in the mid to late 90s, winning the central every year and making two world series appearances... they were LOSING money. And they didnt have a huge payroll.

Terrelle Pryor as a freshman or sophomore is a PERFECT comparison to Troy Smith as sophomore. Troy was not a true pass first QB until his senior year. Troy, in his sophomore year (and still a lot in his JR year) looked to run first and fore most.

People cant make up their mind... during the Tubby years, it was "Lets recruit the high profile/future NBA players"... now that we are getting top of the line players its "Lets recruit four year players". We are getting the best of the best right now. Its not like we couldnt have won last year, we had a great team. Other number 1 seeds WITH experience such as KU and Syracuse lost before we did.

Yes, great players fall through the cracks. He might not have got noticed by D1 schools at all... or they might have saw him and thought he wasnt good enough. Either way, the facts are that D1 is the best of the best and % wise sends the most players to the NFL by a long shot.
