  1. Was able to watch the 2nd half on a facebook feed from Marshall County. Marshall used a diamond and one to try and stop Allen. He scored his points in the second half in transition. Monroe and Sullivan hit 3 - three's between them in the fourth to open the lead. Marshall was very patient on offense which led to the low score total. Allen with 25 and 21. Fouled out with seconds left in the game - played a lot of minutes in the 4th with 4 fouls.
  2. The best team SK has played this year is probably Highlands. Scott County has played Highlands, Frederick Douglas twice, Moeller, and LaSalle. The stats that are being compared on here were obtained versus very different strengths of schedule.
  3. Madison Southern had a largest offensive line I have ever seen in high school football. At times they lined up 7 across. Had to average over 300 pounds a man. I was impressed that they moved pretty well also. HHS was just too skilled for this game to be anything but a running clock.
  4. Every game needs a Colonel Mike type preview write up. Well done.
  5. The curriculum for the audio-visual department classes at Highlands includes producing broadcasts for the games, working the video board, and the PA system. Game should be streamed via Highlands Film and Broadcasting channel on you tube.
  6. No score or win/loss prediction about a scrimmage coming from me, but I will predict that HHS will get a lot more out of this scrimmage than they have gotten from scrimmaging Cincy St X the last few years.
  7. The 7 v 7 on Tuesday 7/24 is at HHS 3 teams to be present: HHS NCC and Anderson, OH
  8. It's a no for all sports. Must be entering 7th grade to compete in any KHSAA sport.
  9. Not a bad attempt at current depth chart - I'll make just a couple of additions/corrections. D Line - Sisson will be 3 year starter. Few boys including Lewin played in rotation last year. Also expect OL Johnson and Dierig to get some snaps. LB - Huddleston, M. Schwalbach, Starkey, Bowman are all returning. There are others ready to contribute as Bowman and Huddleston will see plenty of offensive snaps DB - Armstrong, Brass, Greene, Ahlfeld are all returning experienced players. Ahlfeld will also be a main target as a receiver. 7 v 7 next Tuesday 8/24 at HHS. Invite was sent out to football group to attend. Come up support and see for yourselves.
  10. South Oldham up 1-0 after 1 inning. Updates at Highlands Baseball on twitter. @HHSDirtyBirds
  11. No mention of UC anywhere in this thread? The Bearcats showing any interest?
  12. I'm really partial to the new athletic trainer at Pendleton County. She has been working there for just over a year and is doing a great job.
  13. Having one player, no matter who it is, scoring over 80% of his teams points is not going to lead to successful outcomes. Allen averages 31 + of the teams normal 70+ points. Walsh, Yelton, Sullivan, and Antrobus (when back) need to score the ball and keep the scoring ratio more distributed. Paris has shown to play all of the 10th region contenders on their schedule very tough. Not surprised by the outcome.
  14. Lakers are 8-3 in their last 11 games with Lonzo out. Not bad for a team with an overall .380 win percentage on the year.
  15. Have seen Allen now three times this year. I think he is being way under recruited. The list of D1 offers he has is a nice start, but my eyes tell me he can play at a much higher level. I won't be surprised when the big schools start taking notice and the offers start rolling in.
  16. HHS girls played at home tonight versus NDA. I guess those students that went to a game tonight chose to support the girls team.
  17. Added game to the NCC schedule tonight up on the hill. Coach Belcher brings his Wildcat team up US 27 for what should be a very competitive game tonight. If you haven't seen PC Junior Dontaie Allen play before it would be worth your time to watch the match-up.
  18. Don't know score but JV was St Henry by a lot. Was told 20+
  19. The same amount that it cost HHS as the gate would have been split after expenses. Actually more for HHS as they now get zero and CCH still gets 1/2 of the SO playoff take.
  20. Remember the last time that phrase was used by a KY high school football team's fan base. Didn't end as expected.
  21. Congrats to all these young men. CovCath is that good to be so well represented. Michael Dunn ( OL - HHS) has first team quality. WR from HHS is Nick Venneman. Alex graduated 3 years ago.
  22. False. They have the third most wins behind Highlands and Beechwood since '08.
  23. Beechwood fits in if this is based on size/class. If just talking about N Ky without regard to enrollment they do not have a good record versus CovCath/HHS/SK/Ryle
