Seems like this stuff has been going on forever with him, according to Wiki: The BBC described Glitter's fall from grace as "spectacular". He was convicted three times for drink driving, which in 1987 saw him receive a ten-year driving ban and narrowly escape imprisonment. The late 1990s saw Glitter's image become irreparably tarnished, following his 1997 arrest and 1999 conviction in the United Kingdom for possession of thousands of items of child pornography. Later, Glitter faced criminal charges and deportation from several countries including Vietnam and Cambodia connected with actual and suspected child sexual abuse, after a Vietnamese court found him guilty of obscene acts with minors in 2006. He had been living in Vietnam since deportation from Cambodia on suspected child sexual abuse charges in 2002. Glitter was deported from Vietnam back to Britain at the end of his sentence, where he was placed on the Sex Offenders' Register for life. These convictions effectively ended his long career and turned the once-popular entertainer into a national hate figure. In October 2012, Glitter was arrested again, and bailed, as part of Operation Yewtree. On 5 February 2015, Glitter was found guilty of attempted rape, four counts of indecent assault and one of having sex with a girl under the age of 13. Gary Glitter - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Woman with baby kangaroo forced out of McDonald’s

Thank you for fixing the link. :thumb: -
A Wisconsin woman is hopping mad after she and her baby kangaroo were forced out of a local McDonald’s. Diana Moyer had brought 8-month-old Jimmy to Mickey D’s in Beaver Dam, Wis., when someone called cops to complain. Jimmy was wrapped in a blanket and tucked in an infant car seat. When Beaver Dam cops showed up, Moyer produced a letter from a doctor saying Jimmy is a therapy animal who helps her deal with emotional distress. http://nypost.com/2015/02/04/woman-with-baby-kangaroo-forced-out-of-mcdonalds/

I have my moments. I think what a lot of people might have forgotten is that Augusta probably should have won the 2012 District Championship game as well. No disrespect to St Patrick, I want the Royals to have another shot at Augusta and put that demon to bed. Course I'm also glad there will be a safety net in place in case things go awry. -

It's funny every year how there isn't supposed to be any contact between teams and potential free agents, yet we see big time deals announced just minutes after free agency "starts". -

Well at least now if Royals lose to Augusta it won't necessarily ruin the season :lol2: -
Sources confirm Jackson was arrested and issued a citation for allegedly punching a pizza delivery driver in the face and in the back of the head over a parking spot. The 31-year-old pizza delivery employee told police he said to Jackson that he was going to use the space momentarily, but Jackson allegedly got upset and told the driver to get the "expletive" out of his parking space before punching the driver in his face and on the back of his head. Jackson is the linebacker whose interception of New England Patriot's Tom Brady pass allegedly started DeflateGate. Publisher Harper announced Tuesday that "Go Set a Watchman," a novel the Pulitzer Prize-winning author completed in the 1950s and put aside, will be released July 14. Rediscovered last fall, "Go Set a Watchman" is essentially a sequel to "To Kill a Mockingbird," although it was finished earlier. The 304-page book will be Lee's second, and the first new work in more than 50 years. The publisher plans a first printing of 2 million copies. "In the mid-1950s, I completed a novel called 'Go Set a Watchman,'" the 88-year-old Lee said in a statement issued by Harper. "It features the character known as Scout as an adult woman, and I thought it a pretty decent effort. My editor, who was taken by the flashbacks to Scout's childhood, persuaded me to write a novel (what became 'To Kill a Mockingbird') from the point of view of the young Scout. "I was a first-time writer, so I did as I was told. I hadn't realized it (the original book) had survived, so was surprised and delighted when my dear friend and lawyer Tonja Carter discovered it. After much thought and hesitation, I shared it with a handful of people I trust and was pleased to hear that they considered it worthy of publication. I am humbled and amazed that this will now be published after all these years." Second Harper Lee Novel to Be Published in July - ABC News

Yep, pretty sure I woke up some people in Milwaukee with my clapping and cheering when he got that pick. My goodness what a finish. -
Credit to Duke down the stretch for hitting the shots. Funny thing is, Virginia has given up it's fair share of 3 ball against teams, BUT it has happened early in the game, UVA makes adjustments and the other team struggles rest of the way. Now can only hope Virginia gets a split with a trip to Carolina against Heels and home against Louisville next week.

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Pat Bertoletti, hot sauce smeared across his face and a look of serious ingestion no doubt churning his insides, felt compelled to lift his t-shirt and show off some semblance of a six pack below the layers of a new Wing Bowl record 444 wings he devoured Friday to become the upset winner of Wing Bowl 23. Bertoletti came from six wings down in the final two-minute speed round to unseat defending Wing Bowl champion Molly Schuyler, who finished with an equally impressive 440 wings. “I’m full, I want ice cream or beer, or something else, I’m full of chicken wings,” Bertoletti said afterwards. “I own a restaurant so I’ve been cooking wings at the restaurant all week. I ate about 300 in my last practice. I knew I was going to hit 400. I didn’t know how many I ate today, it’s crazy. I almost lost it a couple of times. The second round was very tough, I knew I was behind and I had to pull it off in some way. The wings were very small, so I stripped the meat off with my hands. That seemed to be very efficient and fast. I’m glad to take it home. I came close before. This is the best day of my life, other than opening a restaurant and my niece being born. Somebody give me a drink.” Pat Bertoletti Upsets Molly Schuyler To Win Wing Bowl 23 « CBS Philly

I think there was a time, when I had the MC student section chanting for me OR I had gotten their attention with my "antics" from front row at Fieldhouse. Course memory could be fuzzy with that detail. I actually was watching bits and pieces of the State Championship DVD the other day and yep, I am more than noticeable a couple times. :lol2: -

There was a couple comments from players after Boston College game, BC had just taken a 5 point lead early in 2nd half. Virginia players said there was kinda unspoken moment when now was time to really turn screws defensively. It's something they seem to do every game. It's been coined by fans as Cavalanche. I just wish it was done much earlier in this game. All credit to Virginia Tech for game they played.
