Nice win for Mason Co without 2nd leading scorer T Black.

Pawsat back for Mason Co. Just in time. Glad I picked Mason Co to win the 10th today.:popcorn:

Telling stats for the game.

Mason County converts 22 Brossart turnovers into 26 points. 16 steals for the Royals.

Josh Harris with 15 points (career high), 6 steals, 4 rebounds, 3 assists.

Neal Pawsat played 5 minutes and scored 3 points.

I was darn near brought to tears when I saw Neal come out for warmups and he looked pretty good. Was cutting well, seemed to be moving fine, there are no words to describe how huge that is. He now has a chance to play 4 games before a possible rematch with the nation's #1 ranked team.

Royals now 15-12 and while that is nothing to hold a parade over, it does mark the 20th straight season Mason County has had 15 wins or more.

Royals haven't had a losing season since 1989-1990 when they went 10-17, that's right, Mason County hasn't had a losing season since right after Reagan left office

Another fun fact, Royals have now had 46 winning seasons in 51 years of basketball, only 2 losing seasons since 1977.

WHEW, still one more regular season game at Bryan Station and then get ready for the playoffs. During warmups, the players were wearing the spiffy "Operation 4-Peat" tshirts, I don't think they were wearing them when I saw them playing Fleming County.

ALRIGHT, on to the game. Always expected a "grinder" type game with the Mustangs and tonight was no different. Royals led 30-20 at the half, Brossart made a run in the 3rd to cut it to 3, but Mason County went on a big run to put the game away.

LET'S GET THE PLAYOFFS STARTED!!! ROYALS ARE FINALLY HEALTHY!!!!!

Nice to hear that Pawsat is back and moving well. I sure hope he takes care of that knee as they begin thier post season play. Their role as the #2 team in the Nation is going to be hard to hold up - even when the entire team is healthy.

Seriously - I am glad that he is back and things seem to be clicking. I will be looking forward to "That" Possible match-up, if it happens. Cause I don't think it is.

I am glad that Pawsat is healthy and has returned.

Im glad that Pawsat was able to play on senior night. He has gone through a lot the last two years.

Pawsat may be the toughest man out there. There are several whinny College and NBA guys who could take a lesson out of his determination and sense of team responsibility...

Neal is a competitor and a great kid with wonderful parents. I always enjoy talking to and being around them.

I can't believe Mason's record is only 15-12. Nice team.

Good to see Mason pay tribute to their seniors and a real touch of class when they recognized Brossart's seniors!!

Pawsat looked a little rusty, but nice to see him get in the books for the first time this year. I was scared for him when he slipped late in the game. It ended up being just a random slip of his left foot and he got right back up. Black had been a Brossart killer over the years. Wonder what the score could have been with him there? Jennings played a nice game for the Stangs.

Good luck in the district and region.

Yeah, I went back and listened to some of Brossart's broadcast when I got home and they mentioned how they had never seen a place honor the other school's seniors. I have lived here in Maysville since 2006 and it's something I have gotten used to, I figured most places did it that way, I guess not.

Neal said his knee fine felt fine afterwards and yeah, all I was watching was his movement during warmups. If he can give them just 15-20 minutes a game in the playoffs that would be huge. You could feel an emotional lift in the gym just having him on the floor.

Mason Co has always played a tough schedule this year losing to some very good teams.

Actually no, the Royals have played an awful schedule, lost to a bunch of schools they shouldn't have been playing in the first place.

Haven't you been reading this board??

All kidding aside, if the Royals have a healthy Neal all year, they go from an up/down 15-12 team to a team that is 21-6 and borderline state ranked. None of that matters now, getting that 4th straight region title is the ONLY thing that matters.

And the teams they've beaten have all been missing 4 or 5 starters, or they haven't played anybody so their decent records are deceiving.

If Mr. Pawsat can be a big contributor, that's gravy. If not, make no excuses and let the chips fall where they may.
