A neighbor says that the family, which remains unnamed, is "very good", that they got a "sad deal" and that "everyone should pray for them." "Back when I started in '52, I didn't have a lot of money, so I saved pennies and I just kept saving them." The collection weighed in at about 500 pounds. 7. Once I heard about the long history between he and Elway, this isn't a surprise. I didn't realize til the Patriots/Ravens playoff game the difference he made with that offense in just one year.
  8. Yep, like a few people have said, there were several moments in the game that led to that point. BUT that's what people are going to remember. Just unbelievable.
  9. I say Patriots get the elusive 4th, unless Seahawks find a way to sign Eli in next 2 weeks.
  10. Dome teams don't win on the road (outside) in playoffs, except that one guy who just kept running to Leavenworth.
  11. There are always a handful of times a year when we revisit the classic phrase, "Just when you think you had seen everything" My goodness gracious.
  12. I was a big fan of the movie Predator, so it doesn't really bother me. :lol2:
  13. PEMBERTON TOWNSHIP — A newborn baby died after her mother allegedly doused her with a flammable liquid and set her on fire in the middle of Simontown Road on Friday night, police and the Burlington County Prosecutor's Office said. Police charged Hyphernkemberly Dorvilier, 22, of Rutgers Avenue in Pemberton Township, with murder. Superior Court Judge Jeanne T. Covert set bail at $500,000. Neighbor Dave Joseph, 45, said he witnessed the incident, which occurred shortly before 11 p.m. at the unit block of the rural road. A young woman had gotten out of her car and lit something on fire in the middle of the road, he said. Joseph said the woman told him she was burning dog waste. The baby girl was flown to St. Christopher's Children's Hospital in Philadelphia at around 11:15 p.m. and died around two hour later. The Burlington County medical examiner will perform an autopsy on the baby, authorities said. 15. Been a Bears fan my whole life, this is the best option they could hope for. I don't know what in the heck is going to happen next year, I don't have high hopes, goodness knows can't be any worse than this year.
  16. SMU has received a Notice of Allegations from the NCAA that includes accusations of academic improprieties within Larry Brown's men's basketball program, multiple sources told ESPN. Sources told ESPN that SMU has received the Notice of Allegations and is expected to meet with the NCAA's Committee of Infractions later this year. One of the allegations involves sophomore Keith Frazier's academics, as issues began when he was attempting to become eligible prior to his arrival at SMU, according to a source familiar with the allegations. Sources told ESPN that assistant coach Ulric Maligi's involvement with Frazier before the player enrolled in SMU has been under investigation. The school announced Jan. 13 that Maligi has taken a leave of absence for personal reasons. Frazier, a McDonald's All-American out of Kimball High School in Dallas, had difficulty meeting the NCAA's eligibility standards to get into SMU. Earlier Friday, sources told ESPN the 6-foot-5 sophomore will be ruled ineligible for the remainder of the season, pending a ruling on his final appeal filed this week, due to his current academic standing. 18. That's reaction I get when I tell them, a high school gym that can nearly seat 5,000. One of, if not, the biggest high school gym in state.
  19. Spent a lot of time at Fieldhouse from 2006-2011, so many great memories. The last game I went to was the Pendleton/Mason region game from 2011, still upset about all that loss, but I digress. So before the game, I go to the scorers table, I can't even remember why. So was talking to someone, mentioned my user name on here "homeless camel" and Mike Murphy's name comes up. Whoever I was talking to, said yeah, Mike was there at the table one time, pointed in my direction since I always sat in same spot for games. He said, yeah, that guy over there is homeless camel off BGP. I was so moved by that, I don't think I had ever met him. So I have some special memories from great teams I saw play in that 5 years, but that really touched me knowing how many people read/post on this place. I just wish I had my old post count, I think I was near 10,000 all those years ago. :lol2:
  20. Can't really remember, I'm sure there is plenty, but wrapped up enough in film to not notice it or just write it off as expected under circumstances.
  21. There are quite a few hardcore scenes showing shooting deaths with gore. So while it doesn't dominate the movie, it is prevalent enough.
  22. Yes, their exchange on tarmac and Bradley's reaction to his comment before he got on the plane was powerful.
