  1. NFL should follow hockey and just diagnose everything under upper or lower body injury and be done with it.
  2. JK Rowling, author of the Harry Potter books, has condemned and mocked the tweet from Rupert Murdoch which insisted that even peaceful Muslims must bear responsibilities for jihadi attacks. “I was born Christian. If that makes Rupert Murdoch my responsibility, I’ll auto-excommunicate,” she tweeted on Sunday. The News Corp boss’s tweet on Saturday morning said that “maybe most Moslems” were peaceful but all must be held responsible “until they recognise and destroy their growing jihadist cancer”. 3. True, I guess we can all be thankful that this is all settled on court in a couple months and we don't have to worry about anyone being left out of a playoff.
  4. This will be all be a mute point in a few weeks when Virginia takes on Duke, North Carolina and Louisville within 7 days. I highly doubt they will get through that unscathed.
  5. I'm a life long Virginia fan and I have no problem with Kentucky #1 until they lose. Like others have said, it's decided on the court and really doesn't mean anything right now. With that said, I don't believe Virginia has been ranked #1 at any point in the season since the Sampson days nearly 35 years ago. You guys want a stat that will really make you laugh. During the Virginia/Miami game, ESPN put up a stat saying Virginia players "average length" is longer than Kentucky. Even Virginia fans had a good laugh over that one. :lol2:
  6. I take it the top crew and anyone associated with Fox is in Green Bay for tomorrow's game. This crew must won the rock paper scissors lizard spock game to get the job.
  7. According to box score, Patriots had 13 rushes for 14 yards.
  8. New England comes back from 14-0 and 28-14 to advance to AFC Championship.
  9. Virginia remains undefeated, they have a good shot at being 19-0 going into showdown with Duke January 31st. Notre Dame just their 2nd loss of the year,
  10. No way any of the following 3 games can top this, what a way to start weekend.
  11. Former teacher Brianne Altice was out on bail awaiting trial for felony sex charges. However, that didn’t stop her from committing the same crime again. The former Davis County teacher was arrested again for sexual misconduct with a minor, after more allegations recently surfaced. However, what’s surprising is that this new crime was allegedly committed while Brianne was out on bail awaiting trial for previous charges that pertained to the exact same crime. Brianne had previously posted bail for alleged sex crimes with a 17-year-old boy, one of three alleged victims. Utah Teacher Arrested Again For Sex With A Minor While Out On Bail ? For The Same Crime
  12. Yep I want Patriots to win, but really don't have a dog in this fight, making it really entertaining watching these guys back and forth like this.
  13. It just reads like he was forced out, which is unfortunate, if true.
  14. I have lived here since 2011, moving to Chicago in a couple weeks, I didn't know anything about that Saginaw song until a few months ago. I guess Johnny Cash covered it? Anyway, to answer the question, no idea if he is a saint. This is just not a place, along with Flint and Detroit anyone voluntarily moves too, so I'm glad to be free very soon. :lol2:
  15. Stumbled across this restaurant a while ago when roaming Google maps. I have to say it's one of the more unique things I have seen in quite some time. If someone could move this to break room, I would appreciate it, wrong board : )
  16. Good point, I think Ashland has gotten more attention because they are known for churning out 20 win seasons and always being in contention for regional. You are right though, it's a shame to see any kids go through this type of losing streak or struggling to win. There are many schools where, sadly, expected to not compete and lose X number of games each year. That's what make this 0-14 even more improbable.
  17. I love Marty, gives me a chance to post this photo after I met him at Reds caravan in Maysville. Got quite a reaction from him, this was one of Marty's early jobs right before getting hired by Reds.
  18. Sad story, interesting looking back at NBA in 1986, that was Len Bias draft. Some guard named Mark Price was taken with 1st pick in 2nd round, look at all those Seniors. Can't help but wonder how many would have left early in today's game.
  19. That's why me and karma are buddies and I never cross him.
  20. Great message to send to your employees, we will spend billions on TV rights, but we will cut corners on things like this. You are right though, it's always boils down to money.
  21. I just don't understand if you are already having a crew, skeleton or not, to show up at the game, why not have announcers on site. I could understand if ESPN were picking up a feed from Zanzibar and had commentators in studio, but you already have people there. Makes absolutely no sense.
  22. For approximately 45 of the 2700 games telecast this season starting with Stephen F. Austin at Memphis (Tuesday, Dec. 2 at 7 p.m. ET on ESPNEWS), ESPN will supplement its on-site event presence with production support originating at ESPN. “We have a new state-of-the-art facility and a commitment to the latest production innovations,” said ESPN Vice President, Remote Operations, Chris Calcinari. “Given those resources and the frequency and volume of college basketball, we are able to try something new.” Isolating the available days for Bristol facilities played a key role in how the specific games were selected. Of the actual specific plans, Calcinari noted, “For these select games, we plan to bring a smaller production truck to the event site with our standard complement of cameras, plus other equipment and operations personnel. The live individual camera and audio feeds will be sent back to ESPN in Bristol where a producer and director will be located, along with commentators who will call the action.” ESPN to test Bristol integration on 45 college basketball productions - ESPN Front Row
  23. My father, who still lives in Maysville, texted me during the game and asked if I knew Ashland's record. I said yeah and that I felt bad for the kids. I lived in Ashland during the Mayo days and was in Rose Hill's corner during that whole mess that took place on/off the court. I have no love lost for the school of Ashland, BUT it's really tough to see the kids go through this type of season.
  24. BC had the ball with 16 seconds left, Stockwell has potential game tying shot roll off the rim.
