  1. I think I heard from Danny a few weeks ago that Dustin finished his career with 8 thousand or something?? Really wish I could have gotten to see him play in person.
  2. Yeah, I do hope Mason County can make a run in the football playoffs this year, but I'm ready to get back to the Fieldhouse. Course, that won't be til the second week of January since Mason County will play at least their first 10 games on the road. Since I know someone may ask, here is the early part of their schedule.
  3. Here is the Lone Oak/Green County play Just awful.
  4. Obvious he was down before he flipped the ball back. A wild scene, but shouldn't have counted.
  5. Mason County 25 yard rushing TD, PAT good, 26-14. Under 2 minutes to go in 1st half. WC threw an intereception in Mason County territory on their previous drive. Halftime 26-14 I will be getting on the phone, so anyone that wants to update score, please feel free. Thank You.
  6. West Carter 1 yard rushing TD. 2 point conversion good, 19-14. Under 7 minutes to go in 2nd quarter. It was a 65 yard drive, 30 of which were Mason County penalities. 15 yard late hit and 15 yard unsportman conduct.
  7. Mason County converts on a 4th and 20 deep in WC territory for a TD. Another botched PAT, 19-6
  8. West Carter fails on a 4th down at MC 15. Still 13-6, under 3 minutes to go in 1st quarter. End of 1st quarter, 13-6
  9. Mason County blocked West Carter punt, return for TD, missed PAT. 13-6
  10. West Carter attempted onside kick goes out of bounds, Royals start at midfield. On second play, 50 yard TD pass, 7-6 Mason County.
  11. West Carter goes right down the field on their 1st drive. Missed PAT 6-0 5:50 to go in 1st quarter
  12. 34-0 Royals 6 minutes to go in 2nd quarter
  13. 27-0 49 seconds to go in 1st quarter. Royals with 3 touchdowns of 50 plus yards, the 4th touchdown was a 4 play 95 yard drive. They have only had the ball for a total of 3 minutes in the 1st quarter. 27-0 End of 1st quarter
  14. 14-0 Royals 9 minutes to go in 1st quarter
  15. I have been ready since the Royals lost Saturday morning, let's get December here NOW!
  16. I believe the stat I heard last year was when Mason County finally went over .500 in overall football record for the first time since the early 80's. I know the program has been around a little over 30 years now? Something like that, but I would say basketball and more basketball. Even if the football team does manage to win a state title in the next few years, it would take a long time to top basketball. Royals basketball has been around for fifty years and in those 50 years they have FOURTY FIVE winning seasons, thirty three of those were at least 20 win seasons. That is just an insane amount of success, the state titles the last 10 years just validated what everyone already knew.
  17. Congrats to Robbie :thumb:
  18. I just think playing a bunch of games on the road, traveling, can really bring a team together. Even though there wasn't a Scott County or Lexington Catholic on their schedule last year, a few of the so called "gimme" games ended up being challenges, but those tough games ended up defining the team as the season went on. I said borderline top 10 and remember, this team did make it to Saturday morning last year. I know they were fortunate with the draw, but you still had to win two games at Rupp to get to that point. Gilbert, Setty and Pawsat will all be Seniors, Black and Harris will be Juniors. If it wasn't for the Clark County All Star team, they would be big time favorites to win another 10th Region title. King, Bluford and Bradley Lang graduated, which are huge losses, but it seems like are always other players just waiting in the wings to take their spot. So that core group, with all their experience, barring injuries has to be a borderline top 10 team in the state. That all depends on what other kids develop as the season starts.
  19. Last year through injuries and adversity, they found a way to develop some depth off the bench, had guys step up when they needed them. If their schedule is accurate, they won't play a home game until January. If that ends up being the case, this team will be very well tested when they get to the meat of the schedule in February and playoff time in March. I think they are a borderline top 10 team in the state right now, all depends on how the bench develops. I know we have to get through football season first, but I can't wait to get back to the Fieldhouse next year.
  20. This is from the KHSAA website, the two games not shown are February 15th at home against Brossart and February 18th at Bryan Station. Anyone ready to get in line for that February 4th game? Should be quite the environment.
  21. I remember you telling me when we talked at a Royals game how your daughter was upset that there wasn't a team since she really wanted to play while she was at Mason County. I had no idea until you told me that it was something the school never pursued for whatever reason.
