Montverde, FL 59 Lexington Catholic 47

Final

Game played in Hawaii as part of the Iolani Classic. This was a 2nd round game, Montverde led by just 1 at the end of 1 quarter, Knights had a 1 point lead at the half. Montverde had just a 3 point lead going into the 4th. Very nice showing by Lexington Catholic considering the talent Montverde has.

Lexington Catholic will play on Monday in a consolation game against the loser of the Mason County/Mt. Vernon, NY game. Regardless of the outgame of that game, the Knights get a 4th game on Tuesday against either Wheeler, GA or Iolani I believe.

Isn't Montverde a nationally ranked team?

Yep, they are currently ranked 25 in the USA Today Super 25. They have 6 players 6'6 or better and another at 7'1".

Wow. Very impressive showing for Lexington Catholic.

Impressive showing by the Knights.

Montverde is a traditional top 25 program in the country on a yearly basis.

As to Q's question, Montverde is described as a "Coeducational Independent College Preparatory Boarding (7-12) and Day School (PK3-12)."
