Mason County 53 Henry Clay 50

Final

Game played at Nicholas County as part of the Shoot For the Cure Classic. Proceeds benefit American Diabetes Association.

Setty finishes with 30.

There are no words to describe what a HUGE win this is for the Royals. Might be the first state ranked team they have beaten this year, I can only imagine the confidence it gives the kids going into the playoffs.

Treg Setty with 30; 22 in the first half. Tyler Black will all 10 of his in the second half. Zaire Henry with a couple of clutch FTs with 15 seconds left; a HC desperation three misses. Listened to the second half on the way back from Georgetown.

Great win for the Royals.

All I told my dad was "uh oh, look who might be putting the pieces together"

HC was ranked #11 in the most recent BGP poll.

Congrats to the Royals on the win. HC was without thier Center, Daniel Kiesling, out with a injury. They hope to have him back by no later than district tourney time. We all know how having a player out can effect a game.

And still no Pawsat yet? That shirt collar of Coach Hump has to be getting tighter by the day thinking about the Royals Nation, their losing record in the Fieldhouse and the questions of his own team with two weeks to go:popcorn:

Great win for Mason Co. Huge game by the best player in the Region in my eyes in Treg Setty.

Is this a biased opinion.

bigblueinsanity, you have a right to whatever opinion you want to state and it doesn't matter what reasoning there is behind it.

Probably so. After all, it's only natural to support your friends.:thumb:

Although to be fair, Setty has most certainly produced numbers worthy of consideration.

I know what you're saying but you know and I know that people get on here to promote their own. If he's the best in the 10 th, that will be fine when voted on by the coaches in the 10th. Personal opinions don't impress me much. That was my point. As far as numbers are concerned, the one who usually puts up the most , gets the most.

Can't really be considered bias when Setty has put an "average" of 23 and 10 this year and then we find out he played most of January with pneumonia. Not to mention the Royals don't really have a slew of weapons ready to score at will. It's all on Treg's shoulders and he has handled it very well.

All that matters is what that picture shows, 4-Peat. No 10th Region team has won 4 straight region titles in over 65 years. Only Maysville and Mason County have won 3 straight region titles, Royals have done it 3 times, Maysville just once.

I'm just ready for the regional tournament, MORE than ready.

Agree that's why I think Setty should win. Stenzel is the only other player that could challenge.

Works both ways though IMO. He's the main (or only) option, so he gets more shots and chances and is set up better to produce better stats. Robbie shares the shots and the points because the team is so talented and could have 4 or 5 different scorers on a given night. If I needed somebody to make a big shot with the game on the line, or hit free throws with no time left on the clock to win the game, Robbie is my man and it's not even close. :D

Congrats to Mason Co. on this win by the way. Even with HC not having Kiesling, it's a very good win. :thumb:
