I tend to agree with your score. I don't think HC will pull it out but this team does have a lot of talent and if they get hot they coud pull the upset. I dont know what has happened to them the last few weeks but I give them the slightest chance tonight. While I definately dont think they win the game, if they did pull the upset I wouldn't be too overly suprised.

I agree. I dont think they are going to be winning district or regions or anything like that, but I just think they have the potential to shake things up a bit this year. A couple of big upsets and they will compete in every game.

Agreed, but I think that Hinkle has improved and has gotten a lot stronger from football, and I really think Jeffries will suprise a lot of people this year. He is a great athlete. I look for HC to be vastly improved this year. remember, in 05 HC was 3-24, them in 07 they were 19-11 with some quality wins. I think Holland is an excellent coach and finds ways to win games. I look for them to suprise some people this year.

I think Owen has a legit shot at winning the region this year. You all can laugh and think its crazy, but it wasn't so crazy last year when Gallatin did it was it? Shelton is a good player, but I think Gamble is there best player by far. He is a playmaker. I don't think they will win the region, as I think Anderson should win it, but anything is possible and I think Owen is good enough to make a run. Also, my sleeper player is Cody Hinkle from HC. He is a really good post player and I think he will blossom this year. Also watch out for Connor Jeffries of HC, saw him this summer and he has improved greatly. I am not saying they are the top players in the region, but deserve some votes for top 10-15.

I think that all of the 31st district teams (Henry Co., Carroll Co., Owen Co., and Gallatin Co.) are all pretty fierce rivalries. I know when I played the games versus Gallatin and Carroll were always our (Henry) biggest rivals.

Henry Co didnt seem the same to me. They didn't do much passing in this game, but I am suprised Scott didn't do more than they did this year, because they looked like a pretty good team to me. Congrats Scott. HC beter regroup quickly...bc they will be traveling to this place in central Louisville come playoff time...and they are going to need to have everyone ready for that game.

Yes, they get Central in the first round. I think HC wins this game by a touchdown 21-14.

They will have problems with HC. It def. wont be a walk in the park for the Eagles. I promise you that. I dont know what the final score will be, but I think it will be a great game and I hope HC pulls it out, they really need this win before there playoff matchup with Central.

Thats a bold pick, I heard that Open had a pretty good team this year.

So you say in your post that all of this was told to you by someone there??? That is a pretty in depth complaint for not being there. I am sure it went both ways. Congrats WV I hope you keep growing and are a powerhouse down the road!

:thumb:I agree with you all totally, I was just throwing out what little I knew about the situation. I don't think it is good for their program but I guess if they want to do it they can.

Eminence is in their transition stage. I think it was just 2 years ago they didn't have a class and only participated in the 8 man championship. Correct me if I am wrong, but eminence only plays 10 games like everyone else...some are 11 man and some are 8 man. they have been involved with 8 man for as long as I have lived and they are just now transitioning into a full 11 man team. Someone correct me if I am wrong though.

There is a big matchup for a district championship between to independents this week in Eminence and Frankfort.

In Henry County when I was in school we called ourselves county. Alot of my buddies say, "Hey you goin to county this weekend?" when they are trying to schedule something when all of our class from college is coming back home.

That stinks. I wish him a speedy recovery. He is a good ball player so I hope he makes a quick recovery back to the field.

Congrats to both teams. It was a hard fought game and for anyone to knock on Carroll is absurd. They are def. improving every year, and I really like there coach. the game was hard fought, and while I don't think the kicks were classless bc HC really does it just about every play because they dont have a strong kicker, I do see why some of you all would be hesitant to say otherwise. anyways, to the most important part, I hope the young man from Carroll recovers quickly. I havent heard, does anyone have any updates on him??? Anyways, best of luck to both teams and HC better practice their butts of this week if they want any chance on a deep playoff run IMO.

I think either Raceland or Beechwood will go undefeated, whoever wins in the state championship. I also think that Boyle and Bell co. both go undefeated until they play each other (whenever that is in the playoffs) with the winner going undefeated and winning it all. I also think that St. X and Fort Campbell will be undefeated state champs, and John Hardin will stay undefeated until they run into Highlands.

Also, there really isnt a way to knock Highlands. It is hard to argue that the teams in the west could compete with them the way some of you think. They may not play any great 5A teams from Kentucky, but Hopkinsville is ranked top 10 in 5A according to BGP, and they also played Colerain, who is a great team from OH, and they play Lex. Cath this week (yes, they are a little down, but still a good team), and then in a couple weeks they play a very good 6A team in Madison Central. Highlands plays there fair share of difficult games in the season. we will see how it works out come playoff time.
