Ditto. Ryle by 10 in a good game. Wish I could see it, but I will be watching my own son play in his first round playoff game.

Both teams are without key players coming into this game. We all know that Trimble will be without thier standout R/B David Bird. Gallatin is going to be playing without the services of Jesse Florence, the starting QB. All in all, it will be a good game. Go Wildcats!

He started playing when he was 5 years old in the Boone County Pee Wee league and he justed turned 18.

Actually 13 years, but this was written by my son who was playing and has played football for 13 years. I did not see alot myself, but he said it was really bad on the field with cheap hits after the plays etc...

Congratulations to the Wildcats for a fine season, 7-3 overall and a playoff birth in only your second season! Outstanding!! I would also like to congratulate Bishop Brossart on taking the all important first steps in giving your kids an opportunity to play football. As other posters have said, the wins are not important right now, just keep playing and showing up.

What a shame, I think both programs would have benefited from having him on the team.

Same thing at Gallatin, except they will have less time because they have at least one round in the playoffs. Probably two rounds. Gallatin's first game is against Scott County, the defending state champs. They could certainly use more practice time together before taking them on.

Anybody know if Anderson is playing for Conner this season?

Gallatin County started there pee-wee program about 5 years ago. They offer teams starting at grades 1-2, 3-4, and 5-6. They play teams from Grant, Owen, and Pendleton County, and also maybe Walton Verona. The coaches are all volunteer. The middle school plays 7-8 graders and they have a hired coach.

That's good news to hear and we are glad for Ricky. Like Teammomaholic said, he is family, well sort of! Best of luck to the Tigers with the rest of the season.

TBG, I am glad David Bird is finally out of the hospital. That truly is good news to hear! My family will continue to pray for David's complete recovery:thumb: Back to the game... I was not surprized by the score in this one. I am surprized by the air game though as it seems to be a nice change for your team. No matter how you get them, 500 yards is a bunch!

I think it is just a sprain, but I did hear his parents had him checked out just to be sure. Hopefully nothing seriously wrong there.:thumb:

I thought the game was much closer than the score indicates. Gallatin had a long snap go over the punters head and was recovered by Bellevue and ran back to the 2 yard line. They scored 3 plays later. Later in the half, Gallatin through an INT that was returned for a TD. Take away those easy scores and the game is much closer. Also thought Gallatin ran the ball well and had several sustained drives, but they just could not punch it in. Several miscues on the offense for penalties seemed to shoot themselves in the foot to kill the drives they had going on. You also have to give props to Bellevue's defense for shutting them out. All in all, I thought Gallatin played very well, and so did Bellevue. Just came out on the short end of the scoreboard.

Gallatin County has the annual blue/white scrimmage in early November. Usually draws a pretty good attendance.

Well basketball has been open for almost a week now... I was wanting to hear about how you think your teams look early on? Anybody excited about what they see/hear? Any disappointments?
