This was an even matchup between two teams that will go deep in the playoffs. The key to the game, IMO, was an attempt at a 2-pt conversion in the first half by Danville that failed. The extra point that was not attempted was the difference in the game. Frankfort's RB had about 230 yards rushing, according to the radio announcers.

 

Enjoyed the opportunity to meet Hiphop tonight. Pretty good game.

I had to leave early to get the kids out of the cold, but I listened to the end on the radio. They had the ball on about the 30-yard line with about 1:30 left and went for it on 4th down instead of attempting a FG. They were stopped, but still had all 3 timeouts. So, they got the ball back with 45 seconds or so remaining. They had it down to the 40-yard line and a penalty moved it back to the 45. Then, they went to the endzone twice instead of trying to get it into FG range. The last pass feel harmlessly to the ground, according to the radio guys.

Frankfort's backs are some big, tough kids.

Makes two straight vs Danville in the regular season. To beat Danville without Fields in impressive.

No excuses in this game. Frankfort played well and deserved the win. They are a very athletic good looking team. #23 and #9 are great athletes. I was very disappointed that Fields didn't get to play because I really wanted to see him in action. Though we had no excuses, I do have one complaint. WHY WHY do you try a two point conversion, when you have a top notch kicker and you KNOW every point will count in a tight contest such as this one was??????? Danville scores in the second quarter to make it Frankfort 7, Danville 13 and we go for two????? Frankfort then scored before the half to go up 14-13. The group I was watching the game with all predicted that this conversion failure would come back to haunt us and it did.

 

I very much enjoyed meeting and watching the 2nd half with Hip Hop Box.:thumb:
