It sounds like both teams played well. Frankfort has tremendous speed and Danville is always well coached. I am quite surprised that Frankfort was able to run for that many yards while only throwing 1 for 2 and 5 yards. I thought without Fields, Danville would sell-out man for man coverage and bring the house.

 

Fields is a great athlete; however, remember in Frankfort's only loss he fumbled 4 times. Sometimes, a kid like Metcalf can come into a game like this one and focus on the little things that will help his club rather than trying to do too much. It sounds like the Panthers did fine, with and/or without Fields. If you ask me, I think Fields would have been missed moreso on defense and special teams. Like I said, he's an athlete playing quarterback, not a quarterback that's an athlete.

 

You can count on this though. No team in 1A will be able to keep up with the speed. If Frankfort can handle teams pounding it down their throat, they will win 1A. If they can't man up, up front, they will not make it to the championship. The true test for them will be playing a team that can go 5 yards at a time up the middle and out-muscle, out-size them.

I dont understand why u give the ball to Macon on 4th and one I know hes a good RECEIVER but when u got simon back there I would gave him the ball to get the 1st down Danville is tryin to use Macon like they did with Darius Baughman no offense hes not Baughman by no means...Danville is just not like they was in the past the are very very SOFT!

After last night, I would say Frankfort will win 1A. That isn't really fair though, because I haven't seen the other top 2 teams in action. Frankfort is a very good team - no doubt about it.

Danville lined up last night and ran the ball right at the Panthers. They came up with enough stops to win the game. So I think the Panthers can make enough adjustments to handle someone running right at them. The defense gets better every week out and the kids play hard.

I am glad to see that someone agrees with me in that the Admirals are soft.....no big hitters and hardly any decent tacklers on defense..the d-line is pretty good though.

He was #70 and he played defensive tackle.

Quan Weaver was a Beast Friday night, Him and Morgan's one two punch was more effective then I thought. With that being said I have to give almost all the Credit to the Oline, Q first hole was like parting the red sea it was just that wide open.

What is Fields' injury??? He is an impressive player that is heads and shoulders above everyone he steps on the field with. I hope it is a minor injury that he recovers from quickly.
