Hey Know it All! The game was played at Anderson last night!

Sounds like the rest of the teams should just fold up camp since Oldham is gonna win the 8th.... NOT!

Anderson has a good team... and so does Gallatin. I posted in a different thread that Gallatin needs to come away with something more important than a victory this weekend. They needed to learn how far they have come as a team, and they needed to learn what it takes to get to the regional finals. I think they walk away from this game having learned about both. The loss to Anderson County is insignificant in my opinion in comparison to the lessons learned. Congratulations to both teams.

For the most part that is true, but he did get his shot blocked a few times, and he got the ball taken from him at least twice that I saw. Still, he is a load to handle down low. SK could have beaten the Cats if they had gotten the ball to him more. Give credit to Gallatin's D for keeping him from getting the ball down low more than they did.

I thought Maegley played well, but it looked to me that he needs to get in shape a little more. However, he is tough when he gets the ball on the low post. Big body, hard to get around to front him on the post. However, I thought Henson defended him very well and kept him from dominating the game.

Care to name any of them that you have heard about?

I'm sure that Oldham will be right there in the thick of it... But I think Anderson County and Gallatin County will have something to say about it also. You can't dismiss Simon Kenton niether, even though Anderson County and Gallatin have beaten them already. The season is still young, and these 4 teams are going to get better as the season progresses. My pick, of course I am going with Gallatin.

I saw that on there also, and he was almost right on the money with his prediction! I guess some of those that picked SK are gonna be eating a little crow tonight for dinner... or if they are like me, maybe they prefer buzzard gizzards with hot sauce!!!

Glad to hear that I am not the only fan that does not like the way games are beginning to be called. Too many times the officials take the game away from the kids. I did not see your game, but I have no doubt that the posts on here were justified in complaining. I also am a former high school official. It amazes me that some of these guys are calling varsity games.

Wildcats get a tough win tonight in Sawville!!! Even with 8th region officials, playing a big Ol school, and it wasn't even Hall of Fame night! WOW:jump: You know, for nothing more or no less than a good small 'A' school, not to shabby!!:lol::lol::lol:

I think he was trying to make a funny with the Dyanasty talk! Laugh a little every now and then, you might live a little longer:p Now doing a little ciphering here... Last 2 years GC did very well, and this year is promising to be another good year for the Wildcats. So that makes 3 years running, and then when you factor in the 3 years of 8th grade champs we got coming up, why that puts us at about 6 years. Yep! I guess Dynasty is the right word afterall!!!:laugh::laugh::laugh: Ya gotta admit, I'm pretty good at this ciphering ain't I?

Apparently so. I never knew we were so blessed! I knew that Maddox, Carlton, and Z Jones are coming back, but I did not know we had the defending middle school champs 3 years running that got our backs. Maybe I'll just have to fry those buzzards just to be eating them! Put some hot sauce on em and they are good!! :lol:

You know Redcrossave, I am not sure how much! However, if you fried them up just right, them buzzard gizzards are tasty. Yes GC will be strong next season, and they will be fun to watch play. Go cats!:thumb:

I hope SK does overlook Gallatin... but then again Steiner is a good coach and I doubt he will allow that to happen. Most folks thought that SK was a cake walk in the 8th to get to Rupp. So far they have been in the region finals twice and had to go back home as the bridesmaid - never the bride. Having said that, since I have been following Gallatin County, they have never been to the region finals. Maybe this is the year for them to get there, who knows? I know this much though, come next Sunday night, Gallatin will know what they are going to have to improve upon to get to that game. They will have played 2 of the stronger teams in the region this week. Win them or not, they better walk away having learned a little about themselves.:walk:
