  1. Gallatin does not have everyone back. They lost Henson, Brown, Davis, LeGrand, Hale and Nunn. Those six kids played both ways. Gallatin has some remaining talent, but they have holes to fill.
  2. Tim Browning is the head coach and will be as long as he wants to be. Coach U will be an def. asst under asst coach Allnutt. Hope it all works out for the young wildcats.
  3. That's not his call. If that is going on at NCC, the admin. needs to step in and do something. He is the basketball coach not the kid's parents. If they want to play football and basketball who is he to say they can't play.
  4. I believe Coach Blackburn decided to pursue a job at another school. Coach Nethery will start the process of rebuilding his old school. Nethery has good basketball knowledge. If they give him time, he will do well.
  5. If I can speak for Gator, I'm sure he isn't wishing!!!!!!
  6. When you're talking about players from the early 80's you can't leave out Jeff Miller. He's one of the all time leading scorers in the county.
  7. Tanner Miles from Gallatin County is a very good pitcher, and I think he will do great things in the future!
  8. I heard Miles pitched a good game for the Wildcats???
  9. Many of the schools in the state tournament had transfers. Hazard had several, Homes - the Johnsons, Sheehan from Shelby originally started at another school. The last I knew, we live in a free country in which people can move for whatever reason they want to move. If you value sports, why wouldn't you be allowed to move to another location that has similar views and fits your needs. Recruiting kids is illegal! Opting to better your family in a different location is not! It is difficult to take when your arch rival gets a transfer, but we all like them when they come to the school we support. Scott County will have a loaded team next year. You don't penalize kids for moving. The rest of the state needs to raise the bar and compete.
  10. If you have not played at the varsity level for one entire year, you should be eligible without question. Schools send the transfer paper to each other if they have not played a varsity sport within the last year, so the KHSAA does not even rule on that case unless someone would accuse someone of recruitment and then there would have to be an investigation by the KHSAA. This also assumes that the student is still within their four year window of opportunity to play once they enrolled as a freshmen.
