Any details?

Gallatin led 43-36 at the half, but broke the game open with a 14-0 run in the first 3 minutes of the 3rd quarter. The largest lead was 67-43.

Unofficial scoring for the Wildcats was Taylor Jones 20, Scott Brown 18, Jared Carlton 14, Trent Maddox 13, David Henson 10, Zac Jones 6, and Jake Giles 2.

The Cats are now 5-1 (3-0 in district play) and host Trimble on Tuesday.

Nice win for the Cats, the Panthers played a good first half and had they kept the turnovers down (young team) it might have been even closer.

Great win for the Cats. Gallatin could start pressing and score at will. This one was never in question.

Good Game to Gallatin..They have a lot of good ball handlers and players.

Congratulations to Coach Jones and the Wildcats. They seem to have great team chemistry and are willing to share the ball. I was impressed. They look as if they will be a strong favorite in the 8th Region Class A (hosted by Gallatin) and the 31st district.

The first 4 minutes of the second half was the difference.

IMO the reason the game was close at the half had more to do with the referees than the players on either side. Foul trouble for both sides really ruined what was otherwise a pretty good game. Can't wait until the rematch in Carrollton.

Nice win for the Wildcats! Way to go.

The difference in this game IMO was Gallatin's defense in the second half. When the Cats turned up the pressure, the (young) Panthers wilted. I would have liked to hear what Coach Jones said to his players at halftime to get them so fired up on defense. Congrats to the Panthers for playing so hard to keep this game as close as they did.

I dont disagree with the comments about Gallatin's Defense was the deciding factor in the game. But they had a double digit lead in the first half, about 13 points at one point before the fouls started coming in fast and furious, actually on both sides.

Definitely the 'D' was the difference.

Jon Jones is a master motivator. He was not happy with his first half defense and must have really got their attention at halftime.

Does Anyone have stats for Carroll? Gallatin Co. showed patience in the offense and ran their FG breaks hard. When Carroll got pressured, they folded and it resulted in many turnovers. I realize that Carroll is young, but these mistakes are killing them and have for a couple of years now. I do think that Carroll will make adjustments and be ready come the next re-match. This was an awesome game played by the Wildcats. Great Job GC and Coach Jones! :thumb:

I think the scoring went Cable 19, Yager 17, Hendricks 12. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

I don't think Gallatin played their best game. If they would have played defense in the first half like they did in the second half this might have been a 35+ win. I am not taking anything away from the Panthers but Gallatin didn't put together two good halves.
