Congrats. Trimble keeps on flying, even without Bird!!!

I am glad that you mentioned Bird. He was able to be at the senior night festivities (came straight from the hospital). His presence truly meant a lot to his fellow seniors and the rest of the Raiders. His battle is far from over and he can continue to use all of our prayers.

The title for the night should have been "Air Raiders". We had about 500 yds of total offense, more passing then rushing...not necessarily comfortable for us.

Glad Bird was able to attend Senior night. I'm sure it was hard for him to watch. Trimble is extremely well coached and they seem to be adapting to being without their star by changing things up.

He was only able to watch a few plays and then had to go home...just walking on the field for the senior night activities was too much for him.

His injury must be pretty serious. Is he going to fully recover?

Very serious. He was in the hospital for 15 days. He will recover fully, but it will take time. Right now, he needs to begin gaining back the 25 or so lbs that he lost in the hospital.

TBG, I am glad David Bird is finally out of the hospital. That truly is good news to hear! My family will continue to pray for David's complete recovery:thumb:

Back to the game... I was not surprized by the score in this one. I am surprized by the air game though as it seems to be a nice change for your team. No matter how you get them, 500 yards is a bunch!

Bigger margin of victory than I expected on this one. Thought Trimble would win but it looks like they were all over Owen. Who did the damage for the Raiders in this one?

Hawkes was 20 of 30 for 304 yards and threw 3 TD's. The OL really looked good tonight. The Raiders had 7 different receivers catch the ball. The look of Trimble sure has changed over the last 3 weeks. "Air Raiders"

Hawkes, Edens and Peters did most of the rushing damage. Like Tall Trees said, Hawkes had a very good night throwing the ball. Bray, Sullivan and Peters all had multiple catches for good yardage. Sophomore Blake Renfro had a really nice 40 yd reception.

I might add that for three weeks in a row Hawkes has flat laid a defender out will running the ball. "Excuse me, ref, did anyone get the number of that truck that just ran over me?" :creepy:
