Time for a Shot Clock in HS Basketball.....
It's the only way some schools have to win. I don't have a problem with it, it's a strategy.

How do schools handle history after consolidation or splits?
Really think that is a great idea. It's important to honor those that created the "tradition" that you have now. It's also pretty neat to go through some of the history of the older schools as well.

In this case Mason County kept a lot of Maysville's trophies and moved them to the Fieldhouse. As for the banners, I don't know what ever happened to them. As for the history (wins, mascots, and school colors), they don't claim any of it.

Has this site become big school/big program elitest???
He apparently was a pretty decent baseball player. The boys basketball team that year didn't fair too well.

I don't think it has. Like someone said it comes in waves. Truthfully, I enjoy seeing scores posted on here and reading the threads more than posting my comments on them. I've always been a big fan of the small Class A schools that are spread out over the state and enjoy reading up on them. I've grown up in the 10th Region, but have come to follow some schools from the 7th, 9th, 12th, 13th, 14th, and 15th Regions. All of those other schools are Class A schools.

Madisonville 79 Dawson Springs 8
That's almost 49 in the top 4 grades. Looking at the scoreboard, it looks like they do not have much success on the court. They haven't won more than ten games since 2005-06. Are they more successful in other sports or at the middle school level?

Madisonville 79 Dawson Springs 8
I agree. Hopefully they won't get discouraged from this. I couldn't tell you the last time I saw a boys team score less than double digits in a game. How big of a school is Dawson Springs anyway? If they graduated five seniors from a five win team last year, then they can't be too big.
