Following the update thread I have to agree that this is an accurate statement - more like a 20 point Augusta edge.

Hinson had his JV in for a long time, obviously trying to rest his starters for tomorrow's game.

 

Bourbon kept their starters in the entire time and pressed.

 

Augusta could have won this game by 30 plus if it wanted to. This margin of victory means nothing. Augusta was by far the superior team.

As I told RP after the game, I'm too old for this type of drama. We were up 33 in the 4th quarter then we wholesale substituted and by the time I got I got back from the restroom, we were up 18. It deteriorated to 11 before we got the starters back in with just over 3 minutes left. I was just glad to get out of there with any victory at that point...........

Augusta led by as many as 34 in this one. Was a very up-tempo game, with both teams doing a lot of pressing, but the Panthers didn't have much trouble with Bourbon's pressure. Bach had 20 in the first half, but I thought Clay Gray played really well. Gray is starting in the position that would normally belong to Owens Crawford & I thought the young man played a solid game, especially in the first half.

 

Snapp played as well as I've seen him play this year. He & Maddox both hit some 3's. Bach finishes with 35 & I'm guessing 10-12 rebounds.

 

For Bourbon County, I was most impressed with Gavin Owsley. He's gifted at getting into the paint & finishing.

 

Hoping to catch Augusta tomorrow night as well...big showdown in Brooksville with Bracken County.

It was, as you said, Clay Gray's best by far. The up-tempo is always our best type of game.
