Paris cut it to 3 in the last minute... They play hard..

Did you take Paris out of the 10th? You did not put them in a district from what I can tell....

So who do you think, if this were to happen, would be in the district with Bourbon Co. and Paris? Would they go back to the old 37th you think if this were to happen?

If someone within is deserving of the job is it fair to that person (who is within and deserving) to give someone else a shot at the job? As for the first part of your question about posting when they know they are going to hire within? I think they should be up front with all applicants and let them know someone internally is being considered... This is just my opinion......

It has to be posted if there is a teaching job being created with it (I think that is how it reads).. A coaching position is considered an extra-duty and does not have to be posted... (I may be wrong but I think that is how it goes)

Sounds like this pool is going to be deep. Meaning, with the talent coming up they will be a lot of interest.

Who are the front runners for the Paris Job? I hear 2 names: One is an assistant on staff and the other is the middle school coach. The middle school coach has been claiming for the last 2 years that he will be the next coach. The rumor mill has the assistant as the leading candidate. Anyone from Paris validate these rumors or put them to rest?

There are college teams that get a ring for going to a bowl game, but not necessarily win the game. If I am not mistaken Georgetown College got rings for being runner-up in 2002, maybe. I am not stating that as fact, but I believe I heard that somewhere... The ring is sacred. There was an article in ESPN The Magazine a few years back about championship rings. The article stated that a championship ring is to a guy, what an engagement ring is to a woman. If there is a championship ring in the room, chances are a guy will ask to see it....

By the KHSAA rule, Euton should not have been ruled ineligible like he initially was.... Goodluck in the upcoming season....

I am going to go with Paris since everyone else is going with Bellevue..... Paris did drop the first one to Mason, but it was not as bad as people thought it was going to be... I think it will be a good game this week.....Good luck to both teams....

Coach Brooks gets the best out of his girl's. I agree with Kelsch, as long as he is there they will be solid. (I just wonder how long it is before he is lured away by another school - but that is another topic)

Did she move back to Nicholasville or did she never move out of Nicholasville to start with? Why would the KHSAA wish for her to go back to East Jessamine? Congratulations on getting a scholarship to IUPUI. Hard work pays off. I am just trying to figure out if she never had a change of residence, how could she be eligible..... I am not being critical of her, I am just trying to figure out the KHSAA's reason for ruling her eligible.

The tournament was on July 9th? Was July 9th the last day of the dead period, maybe midnight July 9th? (I am not saying it was right even if it was the last day of the dead period, rules are rules)

All the big names had to get their start somewhere. Despite the pink slipping Humphrey will be back at Clark. He is not an option, nor do I think he would go to Bourbon. Just my opinion. Get somebody who is going to be there to see it develop. Salsman was not a big name when he came there and they all knew he would bolt for Catholic the first chance he got. (I am not sayiing he is a big name now but he was playing on Saturday morning in March) As for the program being down next year or not, I don't know, but I am sure they will be good enough to at least get the #3 seed in the district ahead of Paris.....

Coach Flynn had Bourbon heading in the right direction. I think Bourbon would do good to look across town for a replacement. They have one of their own coaching across town at Paris, in Jason Earlywine. I think he would do as good a job as anybody they could bring in. Any opinions or thoughts?

That is a terrible reason from one of the coaches/administrators. That is why it is called March Madness, because anything can happen. They want to prevent the so called good teams from not getting in the region? Somebody made a good point. You might as well let Bryan Station or Scott Co. in the State Tournament. It wasn't fair that they got beat in the regional tournament and they were 2 of the top teams in the state... Well Good luck with the new format...Here is what we need to get ready for, A lot of complaining from the other regions (rightly so if the 15th is allowed to do this)

I think there would be a difference between the 2 cases. Euton is moving addresses. Cox already lives in Knott Co. (I assume if he went to JBS). If JBS closes their sports program than he should be eligible, I think. It would be wrong if he wasn't. If JBS still had basketball next year and he transeferred to Knott Central without moving addresses, he ouwld probably be ruled ineligible. Once again with the KHSAA who knows though.....
