Macon is the kids last name. He is only a Junior. He is a "star" football player but was kicked off the football team his sophomore year and didn't participate in the state game. UK offered him a scholarship but revolked it when they found out about that incident and his work ethic/grades.

Who are possible candidates to replace Pardue?

He looks great in pads, plays hard and if he gets in shape and learns the game.. I see great things with this young man.

I don't know if I could see Brumback playing at a major college for basketball, but he sure could pan out to be a great steal for a football program.

Brumback is a beast. Jackson had some quality kids off the bench that can shoot well. I do believe they need to work on the free throws to bring home a regional championship. It is early in the season. Did anyone see Brumback play football this season? I heard he dominated and could be a diamond in the rough!

If not mistaken the freshmen this year, last years middle school team had a lot to offer and now the incoming '08 freshmen are bringing something, this may be worth sticking around for. Are they going to relocate the field for PCC in Combs? I know that was talk a year or so ago.

I am talking about the PA guy at the game in the press box giving his "play by play" commentary. Not the radio PA guy. He just made some comments that made no sense and had no right saying. Show some class and be a commentator and not just a hyped up fan in the box with a microphone where everyone could hear you. I am glad that Lincoln was playing for a regional championship and glad that they won. They are the only area school that hasn't got much publicity such as Danville, Boyle and Mercer. Congrats on the win, no need to rub it in the face of opponents that they lost, show some class Lincoln and prove people wrong next week and make a great effort and make an upset possible.

This was a great coaching job by LC staff and the players deserve the credit for an outstanding team win. Johnson Central only ran about a handful of plays and Grimm hits the hole extremely hard but LCs defense started to pick up on their assignments in the second quarter and continued to hold the the JC offense. On a side note the LC announcer has a lot to learn by some of the statements he made towards the officials and Johnson Central. I just think that the way he stated somethings was a bit unclassy. I wish LC another week of good practice and good luck next week.

This also was held after the Taylor Vs. Jackson Co. game. The young man who led the little service (#2) just brightened the day of may unhappy players. It just goes to show that winning isn't everything or the only thing, how you learn from lessons in life and succeed is!

Congrats to this young man and Coach Bubba Combs. He will bring some excitement to Lewis Co. just give him time.

Morgan lost a lot of talent and lost a great coach when Wood resigned. I wish they could get the problem fixed in West Liberty and get these boys back to playing decent football.

I was simply stating my opinion and understand where you are coming from. Mercer had the talent and even moreso now do they. I hope they continue to grow and become a year in - out top program. I also hope the consolidation at Harlan improves facilities and produces a lot of young men to the next level. Congrats to Mercer for winning a state title and hope Harlan can come together and build a winning program.

Before the consolidation and resignation of former head coach at Mercer - Duane Hammonds, they never won a playoff game. How can you be considered a top 2A team when you don't win a playoff game, espicially against a Morgan County team that was ruled to be beat to death. This year they had an all state running back in Andrew Mcloud who is now at WKU. I have no clue why Mercer is noted to be a top 2A team, even when Jaggers one a Playoff game against Morgan Co. in his first year, and then when the consolidation occurred, a lot of great things came together. Don't forget that Jaggers is with a former AD - Bruce Johnson that he was with at Lincoln Co. and they have an indoor facility and Jaggers has only to worry about making sure homebound students are doing there work and its getting turned in and making the money and just concentrating on football. If harlan comes to this, they may win a state title. Good luck and this is the glory of the new KHSAA system.

You are exactly right, too bad many more schools in the state of Kentucky won't do that. My hats off to the programs that have the support from the top (administration) to the bottom ( loyal fans).

Danville lost the regular season game at Frankfort last year, then anillaited them in the playoffs at Frankfort. Defensive coordinator had a great game plan for the game in Round 2, and will say he will have one this game. Harp will not allow his players to over look this game and will be focused and I will predict that D-Town will win this game.

My prayers are with this young man and family.

Is the option attack one dimensional?

I had a friend at this game and said that PLD has gone a different direction in their offensive philosophy, rather than throwing, they are running the ball more often and using the option attack. Any thoughts/ideas?
