Can anyone tell what the center's name from Danville is? I think his first name is Leonard. I watched him play this weekend in Berea and I was really impressed.

Can anyone tell what the center's name from Danville is? I think his first name is Leonard. I watched him play this weekend in Berea and I was really impressed.

 

Macon is the kids last name. He is only a Junior. He is a "star" football player but was kicked off the football team his sophomore year and didn't participate in the state game. UK offered him a scholarship but revolked it when they found out about that incident and his work ethic/grades.

I got to talk to him a little bit between games. He seemed to be a nice young man and is very talented.

 

I know one thing, if this team can develop and outside presence they will be a very good team.

He played on Derek Smith's AAU team that went to Vegas over the summer and I believe contended for the National Title of AAU basketball or something like that. When he decides to play he can be unstoppable on the court or the football field.

It always kills me when we talk about players deciding when to play. Of course, I'm one of those guys that still dives on the floor for looseballs during pickup games :thumb:
