What I was told was that Jeff Trame was being included in the job search for the new coach. Scott had offered him the job but he said that he wanted to see who else came along first that would be a good higher for them. Well it seems that he wasn't too astounded by the applicants and took the job himself. Regardless, we'll see how things go.

Thanks for correcting me! I just learned that Kramer ruptured his spine yesterday swinging his bat at Scott.

My guess would be that it was Kyle Kramer.

Eric Pouncy will be a very big impact to this Eagles team.

I heard that Mr.Trame, a teacher at SHS, is the most likely person to get the job right now.

There are quite a few people out in Taylor Mill that are glad he is done. During those years, many felt that Scott underperformed given their talent. They did have a couple injuries that did limit them in some respects but many thought that he should've done more with the talent he had. The biggest thing I thought he lacked while he was there as a solid pitching coach to work the players. There were some who didn't need it but most of the others did and it showed too.

Troy is a good man and will definitely go about things the right way with the program. With that being said, I disagree with just how solid of a coach Troy is. There were numerous, numerous rumblings within the Scott program of how much they actually learned and improved in the game of Baseball under his tutelage. Just advice from me but if Troy wants to have success at SK, I suggest he go out and hire a solid Pitching Coach as Scott as he hardly ever worked with the pitchers or affiliated with them at Scott.

I know, I know. This is kind of a copy off the SK coaching thought but i thought this would be a good idea to bring up. With Roberts leaving, who should Scott try and go after? Thoughts?

Is this the final tournament for the Colonels or do they still have several games/tournaments on their schedule? I know its getting close to August so I know the summer season is coming to a quick close...

Plenty of experience for Scott in the future. They had 1 freshmen and 2-4 sophomores starting on varsity consistently and also had 3 other freshmen that were being brought up through out the year. If Scott doesn't do well in the next 2-3 years then there must be a major problem with the coaching .

Downs will be a great player as he gets farther in his high school career.

Scott won against Highlands last night 9-8 with a walk off single. Scott now plays Campbell County at Scott @ 7:15 tonight.

To be honest, Scott was supposed to host it in 2008 but due to the field not being ready, they traded years with Harrison so they could host it in 2009 and make the necessary modifications. To echo everyone elses statements, it was held at GRC last year.

Looks about right. Scott is just too young to accomplish much this year. The first 4 years Scott was in the 10th were good ones as they had quality players and leadership to make them a force to be reckoned with but after the 2009 season, its been downhill. For some reason, they've had very few juniors and seniors playing and thus have had to rely heavily on their younger players resulting in what we see todayl. This will pay off 2 years down the road but right now its just hard to watch...

As long as he maintains at least a 2.5 GPA in High School and scores decently well on his ACT, he won't have issues with colleges. A 2.6 GPA at Holmes is a good start but school only gets harder from here on in.

While I know some will question Cal for not taking a timeout when the game is tied and the game is on the line, there is a flipside to it. By not calling a timeout, you don't give the defense any chance to draw up a defense to stop a play call. Its got its upsides and downsides thats for sure but given how it played out and how Knight seems to get it done at the end of the game regardless of his play up that point, no one should question the decision. Now lets take care of North Carolina!
