Covington Catholic vs. Johnson Central
Come on BOOYAH10, us northerners have no problem at all with you claiming how physical your boys play, and how they will come out and hit you, but come on now lets be realistic here. Do you honestly believe that your guys hit harder and play a more physical brand of football than the boys from Elder, Cincy St. X, and a host of other great teams the blue Colonels have come across this year alone? Tell ya what, schedule a game with Elder next year and just see what hitting is all about. They could spot ya 30 points and you would still be shell shocked by halftime! Not trying to flame you or down play the tremendous season you all have enjoyed, but you are seriously talking about two totally different brands of ball here. The opponents you play week in and week out seriously probably would not even compete with Elder or Cincy St. X 's jv squads. Again, not trying to flame, just being realistic about it. Both of these squads and a few others Covcath has played in recent years have been nationally ranked in recent years. Get past this monumental challenge and then talk about how great JC's brand of football is against a very worthy opponent.

Covington Catholic vs. Johnson Central
This is the best analysis I've read so far. JC is dreaming if they think they are the hardest hitting team the Colonels have played this year. Seriously, and no offense intended here, but they might not even be in the top 5 of the teams that Covcath has played this year! There have been at least 3 teams mentioned that would probably beat them by 3-4 touchdowns. They will see come Friday night. Win or lose, the Colonels will have played a much, much tougher schedule and been tested by some of the best teams in this part of the country, not just the state of Ky. Go Colonels and bring the hardware back to NKY were 3A (and future 5A Championships!) belong!

Beechwood/NCC Predictions
I'll take the Beechies 24-20. Kayiotas for Beechwood will be the difference in this game. NCC has nobody to cover him man to man. Rash will finally unleash him with Bankemper out. Write it down.

NFL Logos in highschools
There certainly are Bluebirds in the NFL, and soon to be more!

Beechwood vs. Holy Cross predictions
No, but I know of a NKY 1A and a 3A that have a lovefest going on!:thumb:

Highlands vs. Cov. Cath. 10/27/06
That's a rare occasion my friend, and it won't happen from a N. Ky team this year. I say Birds win a close one at the Birdome 24-17:banana:

What was the hardest hitting game you ever played in or have seen?
That one was nasty. It was Givhan Henry. Seldom wrong and right again!

Who will be next to win their first title?
I believe they have a great shot at their 1st title as well. My point is, Let your team accomplish their goal of a 1st title before getting overly exited about their upcoming jump to 5A and much bigger and better competition. Best of luck to the Titans in their quest, as it get much harder next year.:thumb:

Who will be next to win their first title?
Geez, aren't we putting the perverbial cart before the horse now, comparing ourselves to the Boyles and Danvilles of the world. Again, get a State Championship under your belts and then start with the bold statements about your Dynasty. Contrary to what you might believe, it's much easier to get your first Championship than it is to go out and win them year in and year out like the afformentioned schools have done. Next year the element of surprise will be gone along with some of the other advantages others are claiming you now enjoy!:thumb:

Hardest Hitters you've seen or played against?
I should have known when you said 15years you had another bird in mind:D If you ask almost anybody in Nky that played against "Mr. Irrelevant", they will tell you he was an animal. It was almost not even fair to watch him explode on other high school kids.:scared:

Mason Co. and Mercer Co.
Yeah, I notice a resemblance:sleep:

Hardest Hitters you've seen or played against?
No doubt Raiderbird. He helicoptered more guys in a career than the law should allow! The next on my list would be one Mr. Marty Moore. Just a brutal hitter on the high school level. Truly a man amongst boys. :thumb:

Who will be next to win their first title?
One good year against sub-par competiton does not a dynasty make. Bold predictions about their prowess against better, tradition rich progams does nothing but put a target on your teams back next year. Get through this year and get yourselves a ring before worrying about how great you will be against the big boys. Enjoy Success while you can! It will be a much toughter road to travel next year:cry:

Beechwood vs. Holy Cross predictions
If HC has all this talent, and their all HUGE and LIGHTNING FAST, it wouldn't even be a game. Heck, it wouldn't be a game if they played a team of All Stars from Beechwood, Covcath and HHS. Get real, there is not even a team in the state with that much talent, let alone little old 1A HC. They have some talent no doubt, but there is probably not so much as a single D1 player on the team. I wish both teams good luck, but as I've stated before, To Be The Man, You Have Got To Beat The Man. HC won't be the man this year, but I'm not sure Beechwood is either at this point. With that said I'm going to say Beechwood wins 28-17:D

Who will be next to win their first title?
I agree, Mercer seems the likely candidate to get their first State Title this year. I hope they do in fact. When they do win it, they will have a huge target on their backs next year. They will get shown very quickly the difference in stepping up 2 classes to compete with the likes of HHS, Covcath, Dixie , Hoptown, and Bowling Green, etc., on a yearly basis. I truly wish them good luck! They will need next year!::thumb:

Tyler Owens- Birds D-Lineman.....underrated?
Crunch must have had coach Shields for gym and health class:lol:

Tyler Owens- Birds D-Lineman.....underrated?
How big are the Birds lineman this year? I thought they were a little larger on average than recent years. Could someone give a few names and sizes so as to give me an idea of how big guys like Ashton and Kidwell are?

History of your schools State Champion Teams
I stand corrected. You are correct about that being a national record:thumb: All those hits taken by Mike must not have gotten to him too much as he is an internal medicine doctor in Louisville now:thumb:

History of your schools State Champion Teams
I believe it was a Friday Night game. I went to it with my dad, and then went back to the Sutkamps house for a little after game party, as was the tradition back then. I clearly remember the post reading "Bellevue Bursts Covcath's Bubble 33-7" the following morning. I actually still have the clipping in a scrapbook someplace. I can remember thinking all those guys were the biggest things since sliced bread, being as how I was 9. My brother was a manager on those teams also along with the legendary Jeff James.

Possible All-State recievers in 06'
Kayiotas - Beechwood. Deadly combo of speed, height, leaping ability and great hands. Everything one needs to be on an All State team.

Beechwood vs. Holy Cross predictions
Yeah, Yeah, Yeah. It's playoff time, and like it or not, it's a new season. In NKY 1A ball, the Beechies just about own the post season. With their experience and coaching staff, they should be the favorite in this game. I'll go with Beechwood by 17.

Highlands at South Oldham
Hopefully we'll be talking about a huge Bluebird victory!:thumb:

Highlands at South Oldham
I think the Blue Boys on the other side of the creek will have something to say about that in 2 weeks as they have given no indication to think they are not every bit as good as the birds based on their play versus common opponents (as much as it pains me to say that!) Once again the State Championship could be played a few weeks before the first Sat. in December. Bowling Green must be for real though, as they are getting some major respect from everyone else across the state.:scared:
