Well Coach Buchannon from Mason co is a Mercer graduate and I am familiar with their merger with maysville. I don't think BGP was up and running back then so it must not be part of the mystery here.

I believe hes referring to when Mason come onto the seen out of no where a few years ago to take 3a by storm and now Mercer is doing the same in 2a.When your team is winning you have a lot posters come out of the wood work and disappear when the winning subsides some.But to be fair her Sticky theres still several Mason posters on here all be it though a lot of them our new people from back then.But I'm still here as well as a few others from a long while ago.I could be wrong on this but i believe this is what this thread is referring to.

Well, I'm not going anywhere. If I can still somehow find a way to be an Oakland Raiders fan then I don't think you have to worry about me running and hiding.

I never considered Mason to take 2A by storm either. They competed on the regional basis but never truly established themselves as a state power IMO.

Whatever it means, I am proud of both places, and what we have accomplished, and we will accomplish. Both have very humble beginnings in football, but have come a long way. And the best is ahead for both programs.

a little south?:confused: ... the very first year they went from 2A to 3A they played Highlands in the semifinals... and had a couple good seasons after that... year before last they had an extremely bad year, but they're getting the wheels rolling again... I wouldn't consider them as having gone south:irked:

Coach Buchanon is a great guy. I still remember the days that he was at Mercer. He is a very respected man.
