I have not seen Ryle play this year but have followed them very closely. I have been picking them to be the runner-up in the 4A title game at Papa John's all year long. My opinion has not changed. I pick the Rocks by 28 as they take the state title lead with 17 away from Highlands. Good LUCK rocks..............OUCH that hurts!

3A Championship: Covington Catholic vs Bowling Green
LUCK replied to stick1's topic in KY Football (High School)
I was at the Bowling Green win over Central. I have not seen Covington Catholic play. I have seen Highlands play. Covington Catholic wins this game by 21. -
Will Mercer be the defacto Co-4A state champion?
-
Defense wins this one. Bowling Green is tough on D. I do feel the great Oxnard has a point that the Purples do not travel to big games well and I would also add that the vaunted Purple defense has not shown up in a few of those games. However, this defense is seasoned, has two great linebackers, and I believe still stinging from last years loss in the title game. Bowling Green will stifle the Hornets offense and win by 14. I believe this is the game I will attend this Friday. I will sit with the fans in Purple if they will let me.

I thought Mercer County was a 4A school!?!

Nick Petrino is a tough kid, with skills, determination, and heart. There are many D-1 signees with athleticism and size. Few have the heart of this kid. The only way he will not be playing D-1 on scholarship is if he decides not to.

Trinity vs Henry Clay. Who wins and Why?
LUCK replied to SHAMROCK69's topic in KY Football (High School)
Trinity wins this one by at least 3 TDs. I have not seen Henry Clay, but looking at who they have played, the scores, and reading the few articles I could find and a few postings here on Bluegrass Preps I feel Trinity's offense will take command of this game and control it. Trinity's defense will rise to the occassion again and hold Henry Clay's offense down. I predict Trinity and Ryle at Papa John's on November 30. good LUCK rocks......................OUCH that hurts. -
I am sticking with what I have been saying all year. Ryle will be the runner up in the State Championship game. They have had just enough game each week and I do not see Henderson stopping them. I predict Ryle by 13.

Just a couple of comments: 1. The best team always wins the game they are playing in. We have a precise measure for this. It is called the "SCORE". 2. The best team always wins the division they are playing in. We have a precise measure for this. It is called the "STATE CHAMPIONSHIP". good LUCK rocks...................OUCH that hurts.

LUCK replied to LUCK's topic in KY Football (High School)
I personally have seen nothing but class from Fort Thomas Highlands program. I have not attended a game at Fort Thomas Highlands but I can not imagine to expect nothing but the same. I would however expect some very zealost students.:thumb: -

Bethlehem (11-1) at Danville (11-1)
LUCK replied to ADopted ADmiral's topic in KY Football (High School)
In the past I have not liked it when you hear the comment along the lines of "Team A will either win big or lose a close one". However, I think it really may apply to this game. I am going with the underdog Bethlehem Eagles in this game. Bethlehem 21 Danville 20. -
Congratulations to Covington Catholic on your big win. (As I predicted.) Good LUCK next week against Lexington Catholic. Congratulations to Fort Thomas Highlands on a great season. Your total program from fans, coaches, to players is a first class program.

Nease HS (Fla) put on 6 years probation
LUCK replied to Greenwaver's topic in KY Football (High School)
The KHSAA has some tough rules too: 1. If we think you are cheating we wll try to seperate you from the rest, one way or another. 2. If we fail to seperate you, we will make your schedule tougher by grouping you with other suspected cheaters. 3. We will think you are cheating if you win too much. 4. We do not investigate cheating. Rumor, innuendo, and hearsay are grounds enough. :jump: -

I will pick Bethlehem by 1. Bardstown came in and thumped them the first time. This could be one of those "it is tough to win the second time" games. Bethlehem will have to play mistake free football and hope that Bardstown coughs up the ball a time or two. I like both of their chances the next week.
