  1. I would like to congradulate Shawn Grim from Johnson Central. If anyone watched him play this season than they know he is 1st team on anyone's ballot. He had great games against everyone he played even Cov. Cath. I believe he proved to be one awesome high school football player.
  2. This poll is not unfair! Both players had great seasons and they meet head to head and without a doubt Grim out performed Miller. He rushed for 248 yds. against a D that was awesome only giving up little over 500 yds. rushing all yr. Miller I believe had 158 in the game but he didn't finish the game. Grim rushed for over 2700 yds. and had 40 TD's. Both players had awesome seasons and I not putting Miller down. I would just like to see what other people think about the two.
  3. Grim is without a doubt this seasons player of the year in the mountains! Also, how about that JCHS D? They dominated the mountains this season and put JCHS back on the ft. ball map of KY. GREAT JOB EAGELS!
  4. Both Shawn Grim and Dusty Miller are great RB's! Which player would you rather have in a big game? These two are both explosive and play in a system that is run oriented, so who would it be? Post your vote and why you would take one or the other. Thanks Chicken Hearted Eagle
  5. Coach Matney is well deserving of this award. Congrats Coach
  6. This was a great game for McCarty! He was on fire tonight! He waited for his shots and got them. It was an amazing game to witness. Great job JCHS!! Keep it up boys.
  7. I would just like to take the time to say that I am so proud of JCHS. You guys came from the pitts to the final four in 3A in only 3 seasons. Be proud of what you have accomplished! No one gave you a chance all year and you guys proved everyone WRONG! You have a great team and what you have built will always be remembered! GO JCHS
  8. I for one believe that JC has a more than worthy opponent friday night! CCH is awesome and that is no secret. The last time I seen CCH play was in the state finals against Hopkinsville and they were good then and they are good now. There is no doubt that CCH is a great team with great athletes. This game will come down to who wants it more. I believe that this game will be a close one and it has the making to be a classic. JCHS can play with any 3a team in state. This game will be a monumental task for the Eagles but they can do it. Like Coach Matney said, "It can be done, it has been done before." GO GET'EM EAGLES! BELIEVE!
  9. Can we just take a step back for a minute? This is the state semifinals! It don't matter who you are, if you have made it this far you obviously belong! Both teams are great teams! Without a doubt both teams deserve to be where they are! It doesn't matter what is said on this board, because come friday night we will see who the better team is. That is the fact of the matter. Let the best team win! Let's have an awesome time and cheer on our teams! This time of the yr. is what high school ft. ball is all about.
  10. Well after watching the film, I seen a whole lot different point of view than you did. JC didn't play like they are capable of with a lot of stupid yet simple mistakes. On the outside looking in, it could seem like and awesome mistake free game but believe me the players and coaching staff see it a whole lot differently.:thumb:
  11. If this so called "Going out of business tour" doesn't fire up you Johnson Co. fans nothing will! Let's get it on friday night and find out who the better team is. Goodluck to both teams and I pray for an injury free game.
  12. This game will be HUGE! JCHS had better come ready to play or the Tomcats will sneak up on them. I expect one huge crowd at this one. Hopefully the Eagles can stay the course and win this one. If they are not ready to play it might be over. This game will live up to it's billing. Good Luck to both teams.
  13. When it comes to mountain players Shawn Grim from JCHS may be the best out there. He is one outstanding talent. The kid from Rockcastle has to be mentioned as well. I believe the two best players in the mountains are from JCHS and Rock.
  14. I believe that Ashland wins this one! Although, the Tomcats had better come out ready to play! Mason could snake bit the Tomcats if they aren't ready! Ashland 21 Mason 14
  15. The field has been covered since tuesday after school. The field should be in fine shape come friday night
  16. The Eagles are for real! Part two of the Unfinished Business Tour starts friday night.
  17. Who can leave out guys like: Ivan McGlone Philip Haywood Jim Matney Dudley Hilton These guys have to be considered!
  18. I believe Johnson Central exceeded expectations! They lost the leading rusher in the state and a leader in Shawn Music who was awesome. Who would have thought that JCHS would have an even better back and a better team in the 06 season?
  19. WOW! I said it earlier that weird things happen in rival games and boy did they ever happen tonight. A lot of weird things I thought. Great win for the Tomcats! No one can take anything away from the Lions though. They played tough, and could have given up but they didn't. It was a GREAT game.
  20. Guys let not get over confident here. Boyd Co. is much improved since the last time the Eagles played them. I believe that JCHS will win but I don't believe it will be as easy as others are predicting. Boyd Co. can move the ball and move it well! If I remember correctly it was Boyd 6-0 early the last time they played. JCHS had better get ready and get it done this wk. My prediction JC 28 BC 6
  21. You can go on and on about this for hours and it really doesn't matter! Mercer is 2a and that is the class they play in. Is it fair? The KHSAA must think so and that is why they play in the class they play in. As far as their jump next season goes, they will be welcomed by many 5a schools that will make it a fair situation. Mercer is a great team this season and I believe they will win the class 2a. The dealer (KHSAA) felt this was best and gave them a great hand.
  22. Agreed I believe it is Mason Co. who is hurt more by the rain. They like to get in that shotgun and throw and run with the QB. IMO, if the game comes down to between the tackles I will take the Eagles. One other point, JCHS has play Boyd, Logan, and Greenup in sloppy conditions and looked really good doing so. Mason will play without a ton of emotion but will it be enough to put them on top? I like the Eagles JC-34 Mason-12
  23. Hold up there bub! You have to be kidding me! JCHS has a lot more weapons on the ground than Grim. Blake Johnson is an all-state fullback from last yr. Richardson, Welch, and Dillion are also great runners. Obviously you haven't seen this team play! Make no mistake my friend the WR's and QB are also great players. Come on down and watch sometime.
  24. Go ahead and stop Grim! Easier said that done. Since after week one teams have geared their D to stop Grim. It hasn't happened. If Mason does stop Grim than that's allright the Eagles have a great FB and another great RB in Richardson. Last yr. Mason tried to stop Blume and what did he do? Over 200 yds. if I remember correctly. Grim is a much better back overall I believe. But I am sure that Mason will be ready. It will be an interesting game to say the least.
  25. My thoughts exactly! Ashland 28 Boyd 27 I believe it is going to be a darn good football game. Rival games are crazy! Strange things seem to always happen in these games.
