This one should be a good one for you to make a trip from Berea to watch this Friday night. Both are great teams, and the winner of this one will win the district. I just so happen to like the Rock at home! It seems that you don't like the Rock anywhere. Does it have anything to do with a 17-0 record???

If Rock does not secure the ball and control it better than they did against Southern, it could be a short night, because Bell will have it won by half time. We all know that the Rock was looking ahead to the BIG Game this friday night. The district championship is on the line. The Rock has been underrated all season, but it seems that they have already proved people wrong. They beat Pulaski, with Pulaski being a heavy favorite. The hard hitting Rock may have cost Pulaski some games due to injury. I believe that the Rock has a chance to pull this one out in the second half. Despite the bad weather, the Rock ran over top of Southern once again. It was a Casey Hayes show. A lot of turn-overs by the Rock, but hopefully because of the bad weather. The score was capable of being a lot worse. The Rock is Hard!!! There's no border war here. Rock 17 wins against Southern 0 wins.

The Black Bears will have many more wins to come under Coach Tom Larkey. I wonder if his son, Chris Larkey, is on the sidelines at Harlan? He would be a great addition to this staff, if he isn't already there.

The Rock is still continuing a tradition of excellence on the football field. Coach Tony Saylor will win football games, Tom Larkey will win football games at Harlan, and Scott Parkey will win football games at the Rock. Rockcastle County has been and still is very fortunate to have some of the best coaches in the state. And, a very good assistant with Coach Josh Martin. I think the mountain top 10 is doing ok. It is early in the season and their will be a lot of changes before it is said and done.

Have to take the Rock once again. They never fail me. One of the toughest fields to play on in high school football. The Rocket home field is such an intimidating place to play. It is chilling to watch those players rub the rock as they are coming out onto the field. Rockcastle 21 Wayne Co. 0

I'd have to say that the Rockcastle win was not a suprise for me at all. The Rock has always been a fantastic football team. I would have liked to seen this one!! Congradulations Rockcastle Rockets!!!

Doodle, you defiantly know your football. Noone is going to just walk on the Rock that easy. They might have lost Larkey last year, but they still have Coach Saylor, who helped build the program to where it is today. You know that he isn't going to let the program slip any. GO ROCK!!!:fight:

I think Rockcastle has a very good shot at winning this. Pulaski is a good team, but the Rock has a great program that is hard to contend with. If anyone beats the Rock, it is always a hard fought battle. Rockcastle is always good at stopping the run. If Pulaski is a good passing team, they may live up to the prediction to beat the Rock. I'm going with the Rock by 7. What are their head to head records? Three Wishes???

I know its still over two weeks away, but as a Rocket fan I am ready to get this season started. Does anyone have their overall record against each other? Three Wishes??? I have to go with the Rock 21-14.

I didn't get to watch the scrimmage, but a few friends of mine were there. It is hard to tell from a team scrimmage how good the Rock will be. The comments I heard were that they looked really athletic. The Rock has a quarterback with a good arm, four good receivers, a great tailback, and some good lineman. So it looks like their offense will be better than last years. As for defense, it has been good for years and will continue to be good with Coach Saylor and Martin coordinating it. Good Luck Coach Parkey with your first year as head coach of the Rock!!!

Any comments about Rockcastle in the upcoming season???

Rockcastle doesn't have a very strong upcoming freshman/sophmore class right now that I know of. Their strongest class is the upcoming juniors. Four of them played varsity last year, and one or two more should have. Rumor has it that Coach Blanton is going to concentrate heavily on his upcoming juniors. May be his chance to make a statement.

In Response to the seating at the Rock. I don't think how good the seats are is as important as the winning record they have at the Rock. There are very few teams with a home record that can touch the Rock. I have stood on the banks of the Rocks football field and watched the wins roll in for decades. As far as beating the Rock very soon, the Rock is an elite program that has took many years of hard work to build. Madison Southern has a lot more building to do. I hope M.S. becomes a better program and the rivalry can be good one day, instead of so lop-sided like it is now.

Rockcastle had a rough couple of years. Do they have anyone to consider?

Whoever loses this game will surely go down fighting. I have a lot of respect for both programs. Both teams are coached to give 110% on the field, so this will be a game of all games to see this season. This will have a playoff atmosphere and maybe a district championship on the line. I believe that Bell has the most experience, but you can't count out the heart and passion the Rock kids play with. And the Rockcastle coaching staffs work ethic will hopefully pull them through for a victory. GO ROCK!!! :ylsuper:

I look for Rockcastle to turn it around and make some noise in the 12th region this year. They have super young talent that should see some action. Senior Devon Hasty is going to have a break out year.
